Because it was never promoted or released as a big new mainline entry. It ha a fraction of the marketing Awakening/Fates had and was released to a dying 3DS just when the Switch was releasing with BOTW and stuff. It's a passion remake of the least popular game in the series and that still sold well.
I'm also a fan from GBA days and enjoyed the 3DS games. I just don't want them to copy a franchise (Persona) that I personally dislike and I feel like is a bad fit for the FE series. Mute self insert main character that is beloved by everyone is a big meh from me.I don't know why academy setting is worrying. It is bound to be a one-off thing. They will move to something like military camp in the next game.
If you are referring to social / customization elements... well, it is only my opinion, but I think IS has perfected map design in Fates. So it is logical for them to ask how to improve the relatively weaker elements of Fire Emblem, which are unit growth and characters interactions. I think Three Houses is the answer of this question. We still need to see the actual result, but as a FE fan since GBA era, I am very excited towards Three Houses.
I see. I don't like "harem" setting as well, but let's wait and see how the story goes.I'm also a fan from GBA days and enjoyed the 3DS games. Awakening and Fates still feel like FE. There's no need for a self insert or copying Persona 5.

It literally released one month after the Switch. The only thing Nintendo was promoting at the time was the Switch and BOTW, which were all the buzz at the time. Attention on 3DS was completely dead at the time.Echoes is released during FEH peak popularity. Thats why many predicted that the cross marketing push will make sure Echoes sold better than what we currently had. Sadly it never happen. And 3ds is not dead atm kek.
That started when they were experimenting by demoting marth to being a co protag and shoed in a player character protag with their own supports, and that was way before persona 5Awakening and Fates still feel like FE. There's no need for a self insert or copying Persona 5.
You can level your characters, choose classes and equipment. It's got some srpg under the hood, more so in 2 and Long WarXcom is srpg? I thought it is pure strategy game like advance war?
Sadly, the more deeper they go with My unit the more the game had sold better while Echoes low number kinda shows that no one really cared about old FE style anymore.(also not helped that Echoes sucks)

Anyway, the producers themselves said sales were good and that they made it with a smaller team just to reuse the 3DS engine because it was easy to develop with it and that was their last chance to do something else with it before moving on to Switch, it probably had a decent enough RoI.

The lip sync for English in RE2 and DMCV is also quite bad.You know, if anything shows that Japan is an afterthought for Capcom, it's not the lack of switch titles. It's the fact that the dialogue in their latest mainline games appear to have been written and dubbed in English first, with awkward Japanese subtitles and mismatched lip syncing for the domestic market. I feel bad for Japanese Resident Evil fans who waited 2, because they're not getting the best of what the game has to offer. I was looking forward to going back and forth between both languages to keep the game fresh, but the Japanese dub and dialogue just isn't good.
Yeah for sure, just pointing out that somehow Capcom is getting worse at bothering with details like this even in the "native" version, compared to the RE5 era. It's a hell of a lot better than the Japanese, which is probably the worst I've seen in any game.
I still find it so amazing that all these new PS4 games are coming out but none for the Switch.

Remember when they announced the Street Fighter Collection in Japan would only use the western versions of the games and pissed off japanese fans including Hideki Kamiya? You know, if anything shows that Japan is an afterthought for Capcom, it's not the lack of switch titles. It's weird how in DMCV you can get one character saying a line that is lip synced well in English and then another character says something and is completely off.
DoA Xtreme Fitness when?Fitness boxing with another gain.
If someone had told me that Imagineer's Fitness Boxing will probably outsell the next mainline Dead or Alive game (LTD), I would have said they were crazy. But here we are.
Capcom is still based in Japan, right?Remember when they announced the Street Fighter Collection in Japan would only use the western versions of the games and pissed off japanese fans including Hideki Kamiya?
Or what about that time they released Marvel vs Capcom Infinite without ANY japanese dub at all? They got a bunch of 1/5 stars ratings on Amazon.jp over this.
It's simply not their focus at all.
DMCV is a heavily performance captured game right? It's possible the sync is own to how close the capture matched, with the post-capture touch up on lip sync being low priority. It's weird how in DMCV you can get one character saying a line that is lip synced well in English and then another character says something and is completely off.
Doesn't Capcom USA own the Street Fighter IP though?Physically yes, but for the last few years there hearts and minds have been focused on the West.
Yeah. But I think the games are still made mostly in Japan. Not sure about the collection.
Which post?So King Zell heavily hinted at Monster Hunter getting a new game on Switch next. Hopefully people here will finally keep it cool about their anxiety regarding this IP.
You would just have people arguing over which is better among other things.Monster hunter on switch and monster hunter world elsewhere would maybe put the end of the infamous toxicity of the MH talks on era.
Ho come on, who am I kidding

I feel like it's a late 2019 release, like December. Also think if it's not announced this month, it's a big E3 announcement.A new MH game hitting the Switch around 2 years after World was always the plan.
Early 2020 sounds about right.
New game from portable team. Likely downgraded World assets....... i am not optimistic because we are talking cac lol.
But..... if.. Big IF it happen. What will switch get? World port? A new line like evolution of MH XXX?
Just to be clear, one of the games that i was talking about being revealed in March got hinted and not fully revealed.
I think its a winter 2019/ Q1 2020 game so it should be fully revealed on a later date.
It has more to do with anemic Switch Capcom support in general and less with Monster Hunter.Monster hunter on switch and monster hunter world elsewhere would maybe put the end of the infamous toxicity of the MH talks on era.

Seems like you already write down why late 201ö is unlikely...it will already be very business and I'm pretty sure Capcom x Nintendo will want to release this game worldwide at the same time - I don't see that happening in late 2019 and Capcom hates to compete against western fall AAA releases.I feel like it's a late 2019 release, like December. Also think if it's not announced this month, it's a big E3 announcement.
Which would make the year super overkill. A year with Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Dragon Quest, Yokai Watch and Monster Hunter in a same system is just way too much. HW sales would be crazy.

World was announced at E3 for a January release.
I wonder if they're saving it for E3

I know that one lol.
It's hard to get all happy about it until its announced. I do trust Zell but I dont trust Capcom with the Switch so eh? If it happens it happens and I dont expect it till next year if so.
XX was announced in October 2016 for a March 2017 release.
