I know, they probably didn't have much of a choice. NSMBU couldn't be released later or earlier as smash, Pokémon, and Mario party occupied the end of 2018.I mean, Nintendo was probably right as Switch is selling exceptionally well with evergreens and NSMB. But Yoshi could have been moved to Fall to give it more space. Of course it doesn't seem there was any game to replace it.
Spring break + demo, and even then it's just a blip. Still below 9K, as predicted for the post NSO baseline (5-10K). It might rise up to 15K for the very long upcoming GW (30k+ last year), and possibly for Obon where it does strong numbers (25-ishK last year).
SMT?Funnily enough, Derby Stallion is the only franchise that was "revealed" to be coming to Switch back in January 2017 that has yet to see a release on the system, now that Story of Seasons is coming with the Doraemon crossover.
I reply to your post/graph explaining the possible factors affecting Splatoon 2 baseline other than NSO introduction. Can you reply here? Thanks.
No. I answered in countless of threads before and I'm certainly not going to hijack that one. I'll post the graph from time to times when I feel like it, and answer some times to times when I feel like it. Feel free to answer me, or block me, or whatever makes you feel comfortable :).
There will be a may surprise little title like MPT or Pikmin3.Nintendo's 1H line up seemed dreadfully poor.
Starts with NSMBU, which is ok...nearly 3 months later Yoshi-another 2D Mario based platformer.
...then 2.5 months later another 2D Mario
Thank you! Seems like an underperform to me.First week was in line with BB's 150 but lower than DS3's 200+. Can't remember the exact numbers.
EDIT: Found an image

PS4 already passed 8m according to Media Crate.PS4 should pass 8 million next week with switch close behind.
Also welcome to a new era of Japanese sales .
Not for the first half. There will be a may surprise little title like MPT or Pikmin3.
So there's still gonna be Media Create numbers, but now on Friday? What's the big deal?
Not for the first half.
Even if we get a direct announced in the next 10 minutes, a physical release needs a few months ahead of time for pre orders and I don't see Nintendo stuffing June with more titles
Are we getting MC numbers on Friday?
Referring to Mario Maker as just another 2D Mario is selling it pretty short.Nintendo's 1H line up seemed dreadfully poor.

Yoshi has a higher metacritic than Kirby but the Kirby brand is probably better than the Yoshi one.Not surprised that Yoshi isn't doing well. The game may look cute, but it honestly just doesn't look fun. At least Kirby Star Allies had fun abilities to use and characters to bring in to your party or play as & lots of co-op options. Yoshi just looks bland.
They release their numbers later and you don't need 3 different tracker numbers in the OP.Why does Dengeki get written off? Looking back historically M Create/Dengeki/Famitsu haven't been too off from each other on aggregate (large week-to-week fluctuations sometimes), and it's not like MC/Famitsu are always close with Dengeki way off.
I mean that Nintendo's big 3 first half titles are all 2D Mario/spin offs which compete with each other in some wayReferring to Mario Maker as just another 2D Mario is selling it pretty short.
Switch only 137.808 units below PS4
PS4 only 3423 units below 8M
Next week PS4 will reach 8 million.
How long will Switch need to reach PS4 numbers? End of April? End of May?
Don't miss the next chapter!!
Yes
I guess? But opening was lower than usual, so the drop hurts it more.

kirby Star Allies is pretty bad
Because there aren't old historical data for Dengeki. Why does Dengeki get written off? Looking back historically M Create/Dengeki/Famitsu haven't been too off from each other on aggregate (large week-to-week fluctuations sometimes), and it's not like MC/Famitsu are always close with Dengeki way off.
Media Create covers more than 2 decades, Famitsu more than 3 when we count point system. No Dengeki White Papers available either.Looking at archives on Gaf it goes a far as 2009 so nearly 10 years old, how many more would it need?
