I feel like if Wooly World could do the ~4 million ltd. worldwide, Crafted World can atleast match that. There was less competition on Wii U though.
Where is that WW figure from?

[3DS] 152 Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World 52.758 149.758 144.755 5.003 19/01/2017

I feel like next few weeks drops can be decent, but Mario Maker 2 will ruin its legs and that game is coming soon.I think combined the Wii U and 3DS versions of Woolly World sold roughly 2-2.5m.
I can see Crafted World surpassing that handily. Kirby has shown growth on Switch and I think Yoshi will follow the same pattern, even if its sales in Japan are under expectations (which we still have to see how its legs fare to determine that).

Looking at that sell through ratio, no wonder why they wanted yoshi to be a long term player
Both HAL and Good Feel need to do anything but a 2D platformer. Switch has enough of those and won't need them much after MM2. They should honestly work together and either make the first 3D Kirby or do something completely new.As much as I like Yoshi's Crafted World, I hope we see something completely different from Good-Feel next time.
You can't just bruteforce two devs together without experience in 3D games and make one. They're both private companies not owned by Nintendo at all too. Both HAL and Good Feel need to do anything but a 2D platformer. Switch has enough of those and won't need them much after MM2. Hopefully Good Feel can make a game that is challenging. The biggest complaints for their games seem to be a lack of difficulty, at least ever since Epic Yarn. You can't just bruteforce two devs together without experience in 3D games and make one. HAL probably will make a Kirby game closer to the 3DS entries next and Good-Feel, I have no idea, but considering their experience with Castlevania, Goemon and Wario, could go for a more Metroidvania-like 2D game next. Always assumed they were a good fit for Metroid, but guess that's not going away from Mercury Steam.

- NSMBUD is the only 2019 game to break 100K sales, last year two games Kirby & Mario+Rabbids were able to break this barrier but combined they sold less than NSMBUD
Hiska-kun had been doing a ps3 vs ps4 hardware comparison ever week in this thread. The ps4 was ahead by around 600k aligned 2 weeks ago. Ps4 is entering holiday season though and should cut the gap to about 350k. I'd imagine it will stay around there until the ps4 increases the gap again next holiday. It's going to beat the ps3 to 9m pretty easily.Sales discussion continued from the other needlessly necroed thread.
These predictions aren't based on nothing. They're based on actual sales, trends and historical comparisons. As are most predictions in sales threads on this forum, I don't see much issue with that at all?
Although it's interesting you don't appear to take this position when it comes to Nintendo.
Is PS4 keeping up with PSP though? It's difficult finding exact data but PSP HW+SW grew over 35% YOY in FY2011 for example while PS4 is looking at a roughly 10% software decline already a year earlier aligned.
PS4 seems to be most closely aigning with PS3, even if slightly ahead. Digital sales are a good point but unfortunately we have no real credible insight into any degree of growth there. PS4 may not match PSP even with digital, we just don't know.
Bold prediction. SMM WiiU debuted at 143k and SMM 3DS at 160k. A 6x increase seems a bit too much. Maybe it can touch 500k FW if it does really well? Of course, it will have strong legs after that. What's everyone estimate for Mario Maker?
I say 1mil FW is a guarantee. Especially if one or both of the revisions release alongside it. HW numbers will be insane
According to your numbers, Kirby & Mario+Rabbids (560,557) actually just barely outsold NSMBUD (547,987), or are you including some other version of NSMBUD?

We'll get Spanish retail numbers tomorrow (Friday afternoon local time), which may give us a bit more information on what to expect from southern European countries, but right now, I'm leaning towards a no. I think it needs more time for that. So, do you think Yoshi managed to at least ship one million worldwide in its first week so it will appear in the Nintendo financials, or it will fail to archive it?

Well, I don't know how many weeks the first shipment from Nintendo usually covers, but I think Yoshi didn't have a lot of first week momentum and will continue to sell steadily over the coming months instead. There hasn't been a lot of marketing to focus on huge sales right out of the gate. If their initial shipment was 1M+, they've got at least the first half of April covered as well. But I have no real good idea how long those shipments usually take to sell out.If it fails, then we might not have updated numbers for this game for a while, since a doubt it will ship an extra million the next FY either.
So, do you think Yoshi managed to at least ship one million worldwide in its first week so it will appear in the Nintendo financials, or it will fail to archive it?
