Publishers don't make choice because of "history". In fact, history is created because of choice. With PSV almost dead and PS4 not being able to absorb PSV and PS3 users, Konami doesn't have a choice but supporting Switch with Jikkyou Baseball. The game doesn't get release abroad.

Powapuro has a long history on Nintendo platforms. It just skipped Wii U for obvious reasons but came to every other Nintendo system (except VB) since it's SFC debut, usually regularly. It would be unisual for it to skip Switch given the platform's breakout success and Powapuro's own decline on PlayStation.

Famista centered on Nintendo historically but it did get releases elsewhere (MSX, PC, mobile) and PS had equivalent World Stadium (Arcade, PCE, PS1) and Play Stadium (PS1) series.

Sony exclusive is a recent phenomenon for mainline Powapuro though and only came about because there wasn't a good Nintendo tv console option after Wii, while they essentially continued the Kun Pocket subseries on Nintendo handheld consoles. And given the state of PlayStation platforms in Japan I'd argue it would be more surprising NOT to see the franchise expand to Switch soon. It actually is surprising it didn't happen this year.

Famista not going multi is less surprising, but it's also a more infrequent series and also more historically Nintendo associated, while Powapuro is historically PS/Nintendo multi.

Interesting to see that such a new Ip can suddenly gain traction there. It will be interesting to see if this will do good for Sega or not especially when most Sega mobile effort after Chain Chronicle and Hortensia had been dissapointing.

The Japanese Bethesda account on Twitter hasn't tweeted about Wolfenstein II and there doesn't seem to be a news article about it on their Japanese website either, so it's not confirmed yet. My guess is a later release.

It doesn't really matter anyway. It'll do very low.

Not too surprising for the team name change, since around Octopath's reveal, they got an official facebook page called Team Asano or something.

Still hoping they'll at least bring Bravely 1 and 2 to Switch, and even better do Bravely Third after Octopath. Love this franchise.

Sales estimates for Kirby came out today in the NPDs.
Largest debut vía revenue with 508k units sold.
With Japan's number it's 924k before digital sales and excluding EU/other.
