I think many are aware that the 'Nintendo audience' and the general population of people who play games mostly overlap, however it seems like people are forgetting that the PS2 unlike PS3 and PS4 was popular and greatly aligned with the general population much like the Switch. Many of the people who are old enough to have played FFX when it was released, did - the first time, on PS2.

FF is a mainstream title in japan in the past. It is crazy to think that nintendo fans is some kind of aliens who have never tried FFX kek.

I do think that the number is not as good as i thought for X there. And the west prob will sell much better there.

Evergreen declines, so the hardware increase is definitely because of the Labo VR release (if it wasn't clear already, since Week 15 is usually down WoW).
I think people might rather hold up for GW.
It would be bizarre for all evergreens to drop at the same time regardless of genre and release date.

By the way :
15./12. [PS4] Tom Clancy's The Division 2 # <RPG> (Ubisoft) {2019.03.15} (¥8.400) - 3.917 / 98.729 <80-100%> (-32%)
Interesting.

There hasn't been a lot of non-mainline FF games lately, and there will be even fewer in the future. I don't think Switch will get any original FF content. I don't PS4 will get any original FF content outside FF7R either.
FF7R isnt a original FF title it's a remake.
Besides that there is no doubt in my mind that there will be a original FF titles on Switch.

Most original titles are on mobile nowadays and some of them will likely be developed with mobile/Switch in mind.

That's true, but usually WoW hardware and evergreen behaviour is similar. Now it's not. The question is: why is it not behaving in a normal way? I think the answer is some people bought a Switch with/for Labo VR. If Labo VR had launched in a different week, hardware sales would've declined ~10% WoW as well, instead of increasing 15%.

EDF Iron Rain did a bit better than i thought. I was thinking around maybe 40k.

Is it the case of bad reception? Or too much EDF?
If not bad reception, the game has several of things that are different from the other EDF games from Sandlot, so the appeal isnt exactly the same. Personally, i've enjoyed the game so far, but i think EDF5 is a better game.

That's a terrible strategy if your game is ready. Avoid a packed summer in order to release in an even more packed fall/ winter?

Yeah, but I think overall hardware sales are going to be extremely high this Fall after the revision. I guess my point was more if you can benefit from the Fall then do it.

I don't doubt SE will consider porting their F2P mobile games to Switch, but that's it. They will not be original Switch games, they are mobile ports.

I'm not talking about f2p games nor did anyone said that they would have to be Switch exclusive - just that they are gonna release original FF content on the system not outside of Remasters we are getting now.

A game developed with multiple plattforms in mind, releasing at the same time on those is usually refered to as a multiplattform game. It's not that difficult.

lol you think SE will make none-F2P FF games for mobile?
If it's mobile, it has to be F2P. If it's F2P, it will be mobile focused and Switch will be an afterthought.
If it has Switch in mind it will be a proper premium priced game, if that's the case it won't be on mobile. Haven't you seen the mobile Octopath Traveler prequel? Mobile game and Switch game are clearly different for SE and they will never develop a game with both in mind at the same time.

Yes I think SE will develop non f2p FF titles that will be released on multiple plattforms including mobile and Switch.

The next non-f2p for mobile is likely Saga 3 remake, or a port of DQM2. Saga 3 will certainly come to Switch and everything else.

Nice to see Cuphead up there, Yugioh seems to have good preorders, FF X/X-2 and Portia also seem to be doing fine digital.

I would think that everything above Minecraft can't be doing too bad, or am I being too optimistic?

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster below Super Dragon Ball Heroes and Yoshi's Crafted World, according to Media Create, suggests both trackers have a significant difference in their estimates (of about 2.000 units or so?).

I wouldn't call 2000 significant, also it could be less than that, we have 0 number from MC now, so all three titles could well be much closer to each other.
There's a bigger difference between Zelda (Fam: 12th 5.6k, MC: 10th) and Minecraft (Fam:8th 9.1k, MC: >10th) for example

But with no number if the difference in ranking is not really notable it's just a shot in the dark from now on.

Week 17 results will be delayed because of holidays, the news of Switch outselling PS4 will come out a little later.

Somewhere. I think.
Chocobo's Dungeon is showing better legs on PS4 than Switch.

That's the first week since launched it's sold more on PS4.

Week 14:

18./16. [NSW] Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! (Square Enix) {2019.03.20} – 3,161 / 31,999
19./17. [PS4] Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! (Square Enix) {2019.03.20} – 3,061 / 28,652

Week 13:

16./05. [NSW] Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! (Square Enix) {2019.03.20} – 5,244 / 28,838
17./07. [PS4] Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! (Square Enix) {2019.03.20} – 4,722 / 25,591

Week 12:

05./00. [NSW] Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! (Square Enix) {2019.03.20} – 23,594 / NEW
07./00. [PS4] Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! (Square Enix) {2019.03.20} – 20,869 / NEW

So no, it doesn't have better legs. In fact, neither does the Switch version. The two have been selling pretty much the same every week, if you don't take into account statistical noise (which is the first time this is happening with multiplat releases).
