Think there's a formatting error in Rise's LTD number.

22% drop for Rise seems pretty good! Switch holding well against good stock in the equivalent week last year.

I don't really know what was expected of Nier - is this about what people thought it would do?

Evergreens almost all rising! Interested to see if that carries through the top 30.

Edit - formatting error is fixed, if it was even there in the first place.

Solid hold for Rise.

Anyone have the numbers for the original Nier for reference? 100k+ for a niche RPG seems solid.

Seems fine for Nier Replicant to me, yeah.

22% drop also seems fine. Do we have fifth week comparison for the MH franchise?

This is going into golden week for the next week's sales right? looks like I'll be ~300-350k short of the optimistic 20M by end of April prediction, not quite as crazy as it sounded months ago though, so I think I'm pretty happy with the results, was let down a bit by MHR hardware week, was really expecting a more fresh audience for that week, but yeah Switch has been selling incredibly.

The original Nier sold like 73k in Japan the first week and had only sold ~500k worldwide.

Obviously the remaster did better and the success of Automata has a lot to do with that, but the original game did not sell well.

Even after the success of Automata, we'll see how the remaster does without the Platinum name attached and a waifu protagonist. I think it will do well enough, and maybe niche is too strong a word, but it is definitely not mainstream.

Edit: Fixed some numbers because the original had 2 versions and I forgot to combine them.

My personal range for NieR Replicant was between 75,000 and 100,000. It went slightly over 100,000, thus actually a stronger debut than expected. One good piece of news for the PS ecosystem at long last.

What the hell at Judgment PS5 not charting in Top 10 though, I was fully expecting it to chart by looking at Amazon.co.jp rankings the past few days. While it's true that Famitsu doesn't properly track Amazon but rather estimates its sales, I wonder if we should start assuming online retailers have a stronger bias towards PS5 than expected.

So whatever judgement PS5 remaster sold at a measly 1800 yen, it was less than 6022 copies...
