The 100k or so that bought UNS 1-3 are pretty much the same that bought UNS4 on PS4. The PS4 base is more likely to have played these games, including the newer UNS4.

Which remasters in Japan? WiiU was a dead platform unlike the SW.
The first part has already been replied by sfortunato here:
This argument can go both ways.

There's a big Naruto fanbase on PS4 -> more likely to find people that want do double dip
or
-> few people that want to buy the game because already played elsewhere.

With so small numbers it's difficult to say something meaningful.

But for the second part, sorry, I was thinking globally. I don't really have numbers with me, but it seems to me that even some PS3->PS4 remasters sold better than the originals for some. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Edit: Hakuoki Shinkai: Fuukaden for Switch via ryokutya2089

Hakuoki Shinkai: Fuukaden is heading to Switch, according to this week's issue of Famitsu. A release is set for September 6. Fans will be able to purchase a limited edition for 8,800 yen.

Two different otome games are included in Hakuoki Shinkai: Fuukaden. Buyers will receive Hakuoki Shinkai: Kaze no Shou and Hakuoki Shinkai: Hana no Shou. Both originally came out for the PS Vita in Japan in 2015 and 2016, respectively. Idea Factory then remade them for the PlayStation 4 as Hakuoki Shinkai: Fuukaden, and the compilation is now making its way to Switch.

Edit2: News from famitsu via ryokutya2089 and nintendoeverything

Hakuoki Shinkai: Fuukaden won't be Idea Factory's only otome visual novel for Switch. The latest issue of Famitsu confirms three more titles in the genre for Nintendo's system as well.

First up, Code: Realize will be released on September 13 for 6,800 yen. A limited edition will be offered for 8,800 yen.

Cendrillon Palika and Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Teito Genwaku Kitan will follow later this year. They'll cost 6,300 yen each, with the limited edition priced at 8,800 yen.

He's in a position to know more than the average person, and a lot of his comments recently have been very conspicuous. You're free to believe whatever you'd like though.

He pivoted pretty hard from "No new Pokemon guys, the anime isn't done with S/M storyline and they always follow this formula." to his recent comments. Some sort of Pokemon Switch is launching between now and March 2019.

It looks like Cendrillion phalikA was moved from Switch to PS Vita. Or the PS Vita version is still coming?

Cendrillion phalikA was first announced for PS Vita in September 2017 as a 2018-due title. But judging by its official website, which now lists its platform as "to be announced," the PS Vita version may have been dropped in favor of the Switch version.

The very fact that the Switch version is on par with the PS4 one is a very good sign. It'll be interesting to see which platform will get the handheld PSV audience.

Somewhere. I think.
If it has new Pokémon and a new region it's a new generation. If it doesn't it's either a spin off or a remake. Don't see a in between happening myself.

No, a spin off is a spin off. Aka. completely different gameplay, got nothing to do with new Pokémon or region.

Mainline: turn-based RPG developed by Game Freak
Spin off: all the other games

And we already know it's not a spin off since it's been announced as mainline RPG from start. I mean, there's a reason there's been so much debate about what the game would be, whether it'd be a new gen or not, etc.

Also, and that's me being pedant here, but a Pokémon generation isn't when a game has new Pokémon and a new region. New generation = new set of Pokémon, and that's it. Only exception to the "rule" is Ultra Sun / Moon which introduced new Ultra Beasts despite ot introducing a new gen.

The thing is, so far, new Pokémon and new region have gone hand in hand. I guess that's where Serebii comments into play: the unusual gen could simply be a game with a brand new region but without a brand new set of Pokémon (just an example I'm giving, I'm not saying that's what he said).

Only a few weeks until we find out anyway. If there's truly a Pokémon game releasing this year, there's only a few weeks left before it can be announced.

The anime has no say or power on when the Pokémon games get released and instead strictly follows the release of a new generation. They will rush the anime or extend it with fillers if necessary.

I will be very angry if the anime is responsible for delaying/postponing the release of Pokémon Switch. I already hate it enough as it is.

Makes no sense. Why would Naruto fans double dip on 5 year old+ ports when UNS4 is there: it has all the characters from previous games, and more. Story is pretty old as well now considering it finished 3 years ago and online would be dead unlike UNS4.

PS4 declined by half, PSV declined by like 80% and SW just about replaced PS3.

Idea Factory is going all in on the otome side. Anyone familiar on the genre? Although I am a guy, I want to try one or two.
If your a fan of visual novels with romance/comedy they're worth trying once to see if you'd like it. I've only played one and wasn't a fan so I stick with the moege. I hear the stories can be quite good and they can tend to be more serious in otomes. Than in moege visual novels.

A lot of different companies seem to be releasing visual novels on the switch recently not only otomes. August released one I recall.

Yes, I like visual novels. August is releasing Daitoshokan in July.

It seems that Code:Realize is pretty good, and it is the first one coming to Switch. I might try that.

Oh it's being released in July? Thought it was already out. Saw it on amiami a while back so just assumed it was out.

Yup that sounds like a good one to start with. I got recommend a bad otome novel to try, so I've been put off from them ever since. I just stick to the visual novel genres I like now.

Oh, a shame to hear that you had a bad start. I have been meaning to try some VNs targeting female audience, but did not have the urge to do so. I have even thought about diving in to Nitroplus's BL work (eg. Dramatical murder etc), but they may be too "hardcore" acting as starting point. This is the perfect moment to dive in and really see what are the hype surrounding these VNs.

Well, like you said there target audience is for females. I've tried one just to see how it is and even though it wasn't very good, I don't think it's for me, so don't really have an interest in trying another. So I'm not too bothered about it. I'm happy playing moege VNs. Kinda wish more VNs like Daikoshokan got to consoles.

Hopefully it's worthwhile for you. They really do seem popular on consoles/handhelds.

If you're yet to play an Otome VN, I highly recommend Hakuoki. Nice story with historical Japan background, and some supernatural elements (sorry, no giant enemy crab).

Hmm... terrible 'leak' this week, ha ha. It really could go both ways. What did they write exactly?

He is also pointing that unsold copies are still a lot, so probably more like sarcastic? lol

He literaly posted

https://www.amazon.co.jp/売れた-「お客様の声...804716858/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

https://www.amazon.co.jp/バンダイ-BANDA...009X1G9WU/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Cardboard sold!

He might be talking specifically about the Robot Kit, going by the second link figure, and being sarcastic especially because the shipment is big.

I see, still not sure what to think, since Labo would need a completely bonkers GW for FW shipment to be sold out. Maybe he means Labo sold well, but only Variety Kit and Robot Kit has lots of stock left.

Only 48mn left until we find out anyway!
