Minecraft keeps surprising. It's still a pretty big IP even after all these years in the market and having sold millions on other platforms too. I think that if we aggregate the sales of all versions that must be one of the best selling games of all time in Japan.

Anyway, Golden Week was indeed weak because of no big releases but evergreen games had big increases.

According to Famitsu but Mediacreate is probably a few weeks off. I wonder will they even bother to mention it.

Noticed that a few weeks ago, they started sharing LTD HW sales. Week 17 Switch:

Nintendo Switch／42108台（累計：804万2166台）

They even share those for revisions, so lack of Week 18 data shouldn't be an issue. Not sure why they had the post for Week 17 alright, but Week 18 was denied one... At least Dengeki Kirito-kun had a post for both weeks.

There's no HW data for Week 18 since Famitsu skipped the Top 10 post with it and directly updated the Top 30 page (which doesn't have any HW data).

It'll probably be able to crawl to 300k at retail.

It'll be the second 3rd JP party game to do so and then things will go faster with YW4 in June, Dragon quest XI S in Fall.

Hardware LTDs posted at week 17 had some mistakes with PS4 and XB1X (off by 1 and 100 units respectively). I hope Famitsu gives top 10 for week 18 because they must be calculated by hand and aren't totally reliable.

I still think they should make a BotW-styled Zelda game with create-a-character and some kind of multiplayer component. it's pretty much the only way I can see them topping BotW right now

We do not know what Nintendo's expectations were and how much R&D / expenses went into it, but I think there are many publishers that would be quite happy with selling >400k of a "new IP" in a year. In a single region. At those initial (!) prices. [I see big discounts on Kit 01 and 02 on amzn.jp, are those price slashes or a sale?]

Sengoku Basara 3 was on the Wii, wasn't it? Not sure why a new title would only be on PS4. I'm not sure about the game series, but for the anime at least it catered to a mostly female crowd, and I'd think going to the Switch would be wise as it's by far the platform with a larger female base.
