Then these numbers are weird. Switch is still higher then last year for CW18+19, but it is quite low if you compare it with the week before.

I really need to check the top 30 more often, bc then I'd discover things like Fishing Spirits selling 430k on the Switch. I think that game charted once and I figured it was gone.

Hardware pretty good for Switch, I guess that's all the stock allowed. For two weeks PS4 that isn't great, its dropped pretty heavily. Some great software sales though if that's just one week.

The fact it even has supply issues is a huge mismanagement of supply, when you consider that it still has adequate supply on PS4. Switch is by far the main system in Japan atm.

FFVII is doing really good. It's by far the most popular game in the franchise but the combination of smaller PS4 install base + erosion of the FF brand over the 15-20 years is going to hold it back.

I think the State of Alert, the confinement, the lack of school, the cancellation of Golden Week holidays... All those factors kind of moved forward in time part of the Golden Week potential which, judging by previous years, it isn't even that big to begin with. I would have been very surprised if Animal Crossing had a huge % increase this week. Week 19 numbers will show further drop in my opinion. The game's sales are still amazing, and will remain so for the foreseeable future.

Hardware sales, on the other hand, are lower than what I was expecting.

Edit: I just noticed week 19 numbers are also available. So yup.

For Switch at least, it looks like the 3 weeks around Golden Week were resulted the highest number of hardware sales.

The real question is what is the ceiling for AC? Juggernaut doesn't begin to describe its sales so far.

But what about talking about 10M when it's actually closer to it? It just feels like we're spoiling this conversation by looking so far ahead and missing the great things it's doing right now. To the point where 400k in two weeks can appear "disappointing".

I can't recall but did Vita games ever have these sorts of chronic shortages from major pubs? I know 3DS had a few but it seems more common on Switch?

PlayStation 4 getting 5 100k+ titles in 7 weeks, or 9 in 18 weeks is pretty good. All third party.

Considering some of those already have Switch versions and the others probably started development before or near the launch of Switch hopefully Switch's next 3 years will see support like that even if the projects are smaller.

Only games I can see joining that group this Summer for PS4 is Sword Art Online and the 2 first party games.
