I'm incredibly impressed and happy with all of those switch software numbers. Incredible actually. Those Wii U era numbers were disgusting, and sad. However, we wouldn't have the switch without those!
About the discussion on Directs and the recent announcements.
Does Nintendo have to announce all the games on their platform in a Direct ?
I admit that its a nice format, but i dont think its the only one that is viable.
So now that Captain toad finally opened preorders, can somebody tell me what launch numbers were for it on WiiU ?
First week sales
media-create: 28.025
famitsu: 29.985
dengeki: 26.995
Wow, that's much higher than I expected. Could it actually have decent sales or were retailers just super conservative in their shipments?
Captain Toad doesn't seem to have much promotion. so if it charts above the Wii U version, I dont think it will be that much higher

For the 1st day? I agree that if it was the total first week's sell-through that would be mediocre at best, but 50% sell-through on the first day is impressive I'd say.
This is PS4's biggest week for software releases until September.
I don't think anything could be worse than this lolI've seen people say Caligula Overdose is worse than the original PSV game, need to find out how it's possible.

Just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, you think that the first day, a Thursday, is going to have nearly 100% of the total sales for this week's sales? You don't think that an additional combined 20 or 25% sell-through could be accomplished on Friday and Saturday? No 50% for this type of game is 'whatever' mediocrity. These sorts of releases are very front-loaded so first-day is important for them.
You guys need to realize if the original version's reception is that bad there won't be a PS4 remake in the first place.there's like virtually no possible way, the original vita release was an unplayable mess
It's a Thursday release? I thought it was Saturday. As far as the user feedback I've seen, pretty much every 1 star review on Amazon is people angry that it wasn't released on the Vita. It's amusing.

I dunno. I think non-westerners don't care about performance as much as westerners do.The thing is that the technical aspect was really the only bad thing about it, story and characters are actually great, and that's why a PS4 remake made sense in the first place if they felt they could bank on the actual content of the game.

Capcom is the laziest company ever when it comes to the Switch. This is probably a result of them scrambling to get content out after dropping the ball though.
Capcom's treatment of the Switch never ceases to amaze and disappoint.
Capcom announced a cloud version of RE7 for Switch. 2000 yen for a 180 day rental.

As a huge fan of RE7, an actual physical port of the game to Switch would've been a day 1 buy. I won't even consider this version (if it even gets brought over).
That's wild. So Capcom has either 0 resources or 0 faith this would perform well if they did a true port.
Honestly, this may not turn out bad for them though. For that price if it streams well I imagine people would be alright with an extended rental.
System's been out for over a year. Unless they're mentally handicapped slugs that are also blind, they should have shifted by now with resourcesMostly just Capcom having no actual dev resources/capabilities with the Switch yet, since, you know, that takes time and they wrote this off hard early on.
This is just a sort of end result of that when you want to also try to sell your behind-expectations product to a new audience.

Maybe the RE7 engine has a fundamental problem running on switch? I'm trying to give Capcom the benefit of the doubt.
Too angry.System's been out for over a year. Unless they're mentally handicapped slugs that are also blind, they should have shifted by now with resources
My patience has worn thin with their incompetence
