Because they skipped out on last week's report due to Golden Weak, and decided to be clever and dump hardware and software into a 2-week package
I can understand but why only hardware and not software then :P

I think there's a typo in your HZD 3rd week cumulative entry (should be 159.4k)
Not really, week 18 was Golden Week, and week 19 is possibly the slowest week of the year.Just divide by 2 on the hardware sales, and it should be fine.
In my opinion, I think Famitsu considered both weeks to be the same "extended week". Hence, dividing by 2 is my way of solving this. Not really, week 18 was Golden Week, and week 19 is possibly the slowest week of the year.
Thanks, I made an error with the entire number ahahI think there's a typo in your HZD 3rd week cumulative entry (should be 159.4k)
He didn't ask for the next big disappointment.
.....?
Weird to see people posting over the last few weeks that Sony was right to abandon Japanese-developed AAA games when Bloodborne and Gran Turismo are up there holding their own or even performing better than western games.

Let's Go is holding out well.
I know some expected that the game would disappear from the charts rapidly (Joseki :p ) but it should keep a good pace in the coming months.
You should eventually play it you know. It does some interesting things that I hope will help make the next Pokemon game better.
People should really look up the current top selling Switch 3rdParty titles before downplaying YW4.It could be a big drop from 3 and still be a major seller. Especially given today's market...
Right. Or look at 3rd party titles, period.People should really look up the current top selling Switch 3rdParty titles before downplaying YW4.
They added 2 week sales to that number.
you're in for a ride, my dear
Oh, than in that case it actually puts things in more perspective for me, as i never really thought about it, obviously if the switch sells 40k one week and another 40k the next week thts 80k. Just dawned on me how much that adds up and the switch has been doing 40-80k since this year began
Where's Knack? And Sony's best selling PS4 game, Minecraft?

2019 is going to be the best year for Switch and was until now impressively up YoY on Japan, that is, until 2 weeks ago. I still find it odd that it's even slighlty down YoY this week (and the previous week).Encouraging how stable Switch is in the year-on-year numbers; everything else showing signs of decline.
Well, except the Xbox.
Did people say that? I may be wrong, but I think people said Sony was right to abandon the Japanese market, not Japanese developed AAA games (?)Weird to see people posting over the last few weeks that Sony was right to abandon Japanese-developed AAA games when Bloodborne and Gran Turismo are up there holding their own or even performing better than western games.

Yeah, it came up a few times during Days Gone debut week I remember. Did a quick Ctrl+F through my own post history to grab this one, and then the post right after that agrees, saying Sony's strategy was "spot on" this gen. The post directly refers to games developed in Japan.Did people say that? I may be wrong, but I think people said Sony was right to abandon the Japanese market, not Japanese developed AAA games (?)
Huh, ok. While not officially a Sony game, I believe Sony spent easily an AAA marketing budget (plus possibly more for Japanese exclusivity) on MHW, a Japanese developed game, so imo saying Sony abandoned Japanese developed AAA games is simply incorrect.Yeah, it came up a few times during Days Gone debut week I remember. Taiko Drum 'n' Fun has sold over 600k
With those kind of worldwide numbers they should really disregard Japan and focus on making higher budget Taiko games on the PS4/PC(+ possibly XBO).
