It's like expanding Switch userbase is helping its sales which were plateauing before as it had sold 3m+ on a smaller userbase.

In this case SE might wanna sell more copies of the PS4 version, it probably gives a better return to them and the fanbase might overlap, so they stock 'the cheaper to make' version, it makes sense really.

We've had plenty of examples of Square Enix games selling out pretty quickly on Nintendo platforms with late restocks.

Out of my mind, Final Fantasy III and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker on DS, Bravely Default on 3DS and Octopath Traveler on Switch.

Anyway, the harsh drop for Trials of Mana Switch version continues, which is a bit surprising as I thought it would have better legs than the PS4 version.

Xenoblade closing the September Direct wasn't a mistake on Nintendo's part, it was them telling the audience that that franchise is a big deal now. I think they know the potential of it, maybe not in terms of raw sales but how the core audience respond to it.

When/if Switch gets close enough to the 3DS that we'll need to start looking above I'll add the NDS. Maybe after holidays.
For the moment the focus should be 3DS.

More Switch Lites are needed. Although those are only two weeks and digital sales might make up for it, it's still weird seeing Sword/Shield lower than Let's Go in anything. Or was that when the Let's Go bundles came back?

I think the DS is about 9 million units ahead, launch aligned. There isn't much to learn by adding it to the chart.
