PS4 went below 10k, down a lot compared to last year. Gonna be a tough couple of months for the comparison (but it was always expected that it would be down a lot YoY). Shame Days Gone could hold another week at the top, but the WoW drop was too large for that. Still, great run for this game!

Did you see my Famitsu estimates in the last thread (based on how the sales were split over the two weeks for Dengeki)?

What do you think of them? Better than dividing by 2 or will we keep it like that, also in regards with YoY comparisons in 2020?

On Ys related notes, Falcom will also launch a "super price" version of Ys VIII on June 20th and of course this will lead us to Ys IX launch on September 26th. Sales of this one will be interesting to check compared to Ys VIII, since it's not supported by a handheld version.

Switch is seeing growth without a price drop or new model. This could lead to a delay in the new model. Especially if new game announcements and evergreens can sustain sales through summer.

Capcom just released Dark Arisen and has RE4 coming, Squeenix has DQXIS, Sega has it's Olympics games, Bamco has 3 Dragon Ball games on there, Koei Tecmo/Atlus have Persona Warriors coming and it's Level 5's de facto platform.

Most are behind it in one way or another and at this point it's carrying the Japanese gaming industry on it's back but it needs new development behind it. This year's TGS is when it should all come together.
