Whilte their internal engine is problematic they seem to be changing that with Ys IX already. The bigger issue with Falcom is that they simply don't have the manpower to support more than one ecosystem. These ports too are outsourced.Maybe after 9, they can make their engine more agnostic (or move to one) and do ports themselves
In the past XSEED has said they have looked into it but according to them it is hard to find companies porting to Switch due to the demand and development kits for the Switch being a natural gift. The logical sense would be that they emply Marvelous but they clearly cannot motivate them to jump heavily on the Switch AND port external games.I really wouldn't expect anything Nintendo Switch from XSEED / Marvelous other than localisation of Marvelous games and publishing of indie games not ported by them. So Falcom games... nah.
If any company would want to take in Falcom's catalogue they just have to cooperate with them. The reason Falcom has such a strong relation with Sony is because they get a lot of development help from them and they have been releasing the Cold Steel games in Asian territories. It's less that it's a reasonable excuse and more like Falcom will stick on the S.S. Sony even if the ocean dries up.
Manpower is a justification.Given the Ys VIII ratio I'm not sure how they justify not doing Switch ports. It's more lucrative than PC for the audience.
Yeah, no worries :) I just mean that even if PS4 had done like 15k a week now, i think it still would probably still be at the end (ending up within the 8-10 million range).Yeah I was just joking. I'm certain the ps4 will hit 9m and hoping for 10m.
I assume you mean on a week to week basis. YTD it is blowing 2018 out of the water, should be up +1000k or more by the end of the year depending on when Animal Crossing releases, revisions, and the impact of games like Yo-Kai Watch and Mario Maker 2.Switch is keeping up with last year's performance and will perform much stronger in June and July thanks to big games releasing.

Not unusual for shipped product to sit unsold for years, even decades. It's still relatively easy to buy last gen consoles and games in new condition at major retailers, despite production ending. You can even still buy a brand new PS2 without too much trouble, if you don't mind paying around ~$500-600 for it.I don't get this. Those shipped units will have to be sold eventually, or are you expecting retailers to send them back to Nintendo?
I mean, not really? Not when they're doing PC ports and other similar or smaller pubs (NISA, Ghostlight, IFIA, Aksys, PQube, etc) are managing Switch ports.
Falcon has a clear preference over Sony and they show it in every chance, it has nothing to do with limited manpower.Whilte their internal engine is problematic they seem to be changing that with Ys IX already. Them and Danganronpa team are some of the most pro Sony Japanese developers.

How many announcements do we expect to see on the japanese side come E3
Ngl ,i always found that a bit wierd lol. Especially from a company
Now that you mention it, the only bamco game to be featured at all in Nintendo E3 for years was dragonball fighterzI imagine Bamco will have at least one or two reveals at the MS conference.

usually you shouldn't vocalize such an alliance unless you were working directly with the company (like Next Level or something)Ngl ,i always found that a bit wierd lol. Especially from a company
Still so weird that they never ported Detective Pikachu to Switch and instead decided to marry Let's Go to it. I'll never get why.
I'll never understand it. All the money they're leaving on the table by not bringing this to Switch (I don't personally care about the franchise, but I know many people who would love to play those games on Switch).

Yes, that's why I said port it. It seemed as no-brainer a decision as it gets to promote your movie but I never happened. Hence my questioning.

It's always amusing to look at Spike Chunsoft's support. On one hand, you have Uchikoshi Kotaro, who shows obvious favoritism to Nintendo handhelds. 999 started out on the DS, but it was a flop in Japan. The series went multi-platform, but he never abandoned the Nintendo handhelds. On the other hand, you have the Danganronpa team that's like "why should we make multi-platform games when people should just buy a Vita?!"Ngl ,i always found that a bit wierd lol. it's like an episode of Gold Rush on Discovery. they find a bit of gold and keep digging, but the well ran dry and they're in denialSometimes u just need to understand that some fanboys actually reach top management for company lol. So the bias is real.
