that's an interesting point. maybe because of the stock situation there's a lot more importing from Japan, and that's leading to the low software attach rates there

Understandable, you can get by using game pass setting your account in other territory but warranty (lack of it) is a major issue, I wouldn't get it for that reason.

Those XBS sales are better than any week the XBO ever had past its second week. Since the last week of February it has been performing better overall than the XBO did from late February to mid June 2015. The ~5000-unit difference in their launch weeks is the only think keeping the XBS from being ahead LTD.

Now catching up to the 360 is the real challenge. In any case, I wonder why the XBS is performing better than the XBO in Japan.

Well I've said in the last thread but FF7R-I did more than I've expected.

People can just get used PS4 copies, upgrade, and buy the Yuffie DLC for much cheaper than the full price ¥8.980 surely.

Also 39% drop for MHR is quite steep?

If it can get to Xbox original numbers it would already be a great success in my mind (I'm thinking half of that is more likely tho), after how low it went with xbox one. 360 sold a lot, because it had dozens of jp exclusives.. it won't happen.

Game pass, jp loves game pass, all my jp xbox friends love it and they are like mushroom on twitter, always more and more.

Well right now we won't know when/if it slows down. Could be when it finally matches XB1 launch aligned.

Game Pass could also be a system seller.
