So you just wanted to came here with a snarky remark without interest in hearing the answers. ok
It's mostly a marketing deal, but people sure take offence at the idea of this existing.

Do you have a scanned document of that? If not, just stop then :)
Winning Eleven 2019 would never release in June. A Samurai Blue version would but Konami just doesn't care much anymore for dedicated gaming.Oh wait, Winning Eleven is in August?
Konami probably missed the news that there's this big soccer event going on right now that would have perfectly coincided with a release of new soccer game.

This is ridiculous, but you do you. Let's pretend Capcom just decided to make MHW their only Xbox game not available in Japan just because then.Do you have a scanned document of that? If not, just stop then :)
So when everything is pointing to a deal, but there's no scanned contract of it, there's no deal?Do you have a scanned document of that? If not, just stop then :)
So for those keeping score, evidence that Sony paid nothing for any kind of exclusivity in Japan/Asia:Do you have a scanned document of that? If not, just stop then :)
Considering this discussion started because I was replying to someone who literally said that Sony and MS fans have a different mindset or behaviorism..... :)
I don't think the work is hard. What I'm curious about is how they are going to manage a split userbase moving forward. It's something MH hasn't really experienced since it became huge.
I know this is mainly a Capcom thread now >_>, but I wanted to chat [NSW] FIFA 18 a little. Up to now it's known to have sold a little more than six times (6.19x) its first week on MC as of late January when it last poked its head out (src: http://era.burner.camp/#g/8187 ). It did that thing last year where it appeared to fizzle out pretty quickly but turned out by the end of the year having sold around three and a half times as much as had been thought. As it's been lurking in the top 50 in 17 out of the last 20 weeks, I'm hoping to see if sneaks into the top 20 this week to give us an update.
What's the general feeling here on it re-cracking the Top 20 given the World Cup? I don't have my finger on the sport even locally -- mind you, I was at a sports bar on Saturday but while there was a game playing I was oddly much more interested in the "Johnsonville Cornhole Championships" running on an adjacent screen* -- so I can't really tell how much the excitement in the tournament would lead to additional game sales. Has anyone discussed where the LTD might have crept up to on MC, where it might rank next week, or how much of a weekly boost it might see?
Famitsu had it at 103k a couple weeks ago, and they were at 72k when MC was at 78k, with sales generally creeping around in the 1k-2k per week range. Seems like it has potential for a pretty healthy "last gasp" before its successor comes out.
* No, it was not a form of competitive pornography
Well it's easy to increase zero support.I don't know what's the less likely scenario, Japan winning World Cup or Capcom's Switch support increasing.
I think that the difference is that FIFA will sell millions regardless of when it comes out, whereas I don't think Winning Eleven can afford to miss the biggest marketing opportunity for their franchisemmmm... you know that end of August - beginning of September is when most of the big football leagues start, right? Or is it dumb also for FIFA to release in September?
Not doing a World Cup DLC for PES 18 is another different thing but end of August is a great date to launch a football game.
Japan will win the WC before Capcom does an AAA Switch PortI don't know what's the less likely scenario, Japan winning World Cup or Capcom's Switch support increasing.
You are looking at sub 100k sales for Kuma Tomo in Europe. North America apparently didn't get it because it didn't worth the effort. The game was only released in Europe (pretty sure North America didn't get it). It was one of those "wtf" releases from NoE that nobody saw coming. So between 100 and 125k for Europe... that's way more than I ever thought the game would sell tbh.
Doesn't hiska-kun have the data from the CY 2017 whitebook already? :eyes:
RE games are consistently the games with Capcom's biggest budget and employees behind from what I remember, and from their production value and marketing, they're definitely AAA.I'm not sure if even RE7, RE2 Remake and DMC5 can be considered as AAA games (by the west's standards).
The only company who is still making true AAA games (budget-wise) in Japan is Square Enix.
Japan is almost the Ro16, Capcom is still nowhere to be seen. Samurai Blues in the lead.I don't know what's the less likely scenario, Japan winning World Cup or Capcom's Switch support increasing.
No, almost dead series. Depends for the MH, but I doubt it will be high effort/budget. Street Fighter 6 won't happen anytime soon and won't be on Nintendo systems anyway.Would a brand new Ace Attorney count ? Would a specifically for Switch made MH count ?
Would SF6 count ?
AT is not AAA MH will count but is not gonna happen cause of the "Sony Asia exclusivity" and SF6 will be PS5 exclusive again with some dumb reason attached to it. ill be amazed if we even get something as simple as RE7 port (streaming doesnt count)What counts as a AAA Switch Game from Capcom ?

Development team of 100+ devs plus a development cycle of more than 2.5 years would easily put the game's budget in AAA territory. RE7, DMC5, RE2 and MHW all fit the bill. RE6 would probably match a lot of top tier western AAA games budget too.I'm not sure if even RE7, RE2 Remake and DMC5 can be considered as AAA games (by the west's standards).

Alright, no problem! :)I just had the chance to check the white book in a library. But I still don't have it yet.
In 2 months.
Yeah, thats possible (i just ment that the majority share of console owners for Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony are likely in the younger male category, while Nintendo systems might have a bigger share of female owners in comparison, that i can see), but wasnt your arguement that young male adults played a role in who does console wars? If most people on online forums are young male adults, then they are all the same demographic regardless if they are Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony fans, so there shouldnt be a big difference between the fans when it comes to that factor. Or how do you mean?It is well known that Nintendo platforms have typically more heterogenous demographic groups than Sony/Microsoft ones. Online forums are mostly inhabited by young male adults. Also, within groups there are differences in terms of preferences or attitudes. The "both side" argument fails.
compared to major games from western publishers they would be a mid-budget games – https://www.resetera.com/threads/ub...s-release-aaa-games-on-an-annual-basis.22782/Development team of 100+ devs plus a development cycle of more than 2.5 years would easily put the game's budget in AAA territory. I expect 120k Aces, 85k Minecraft (only because of YSO predictions, otherwise I would have guessed lower), Switch at 55k. No idea about Gundam, all depends on its first day sales that weren't affected by word of mouth, could be 110k, could be 50k, no idea.So what numbers we looking at tommorow?
Anyone expecting a total blowout?
MTA seems to be doing well, Minecraft too. I think we could get a Pac-Man for the first time in a while tomorrow. So what numbers we looking at tommorow?

I originally went for 120k for Aces and <50k for Minecraft. So what numbers we looking at tommorow?

I mean look at Bomberman . There is always too much expectation on old ports. Especially with other big hitters this week.i have a bad feeling Ys VIII is going to do even worse than expected on switch. i wonder if it will even break 10k FW...
My bet:
MTA: 100K
Minecraft: 60k
Switch:55k
Playstation 4: 25k
