This looks to be another big week for Switch. Catherine around 10k and Iron Man around 5k.
That's the third release of a 2011 game. How much were you expecting?
35k but since it'sa third release I hope it does well enough for Atlus
That was never realistic - this version already got released last year on PS4/PSV months ago. There is only so much milking you can do, for a title like Catherine.35k but since it'sa third release I hope it does well enough for Atlus
Atlus: as you can see, our late port of Catherine bombed on Switch. Meaning that there is no fanbase for these games on the system, therefore we'll proceed cancelling Shin Megami Tensei 5.
Test failed.

My expectations are low. What do we think will the Remaster of Crystal Chronicles sell in Japan? The original's LTD is at 354.991 according to Game Data Library.
The DS entries Rings of Fate's and Echoes of Time's LTD are at 389.845 and 259.705 respectively. The two Wii game didn't sell much more than 50k, but the Wii was never strong in Japan, so I think they're outlines?
Can we expect a return to 200k+ or would it already be a success if it breaks 100k?
I think there is single screen co-op, but absence of LAN multiplayer on Switch is going to hurt it. Would have been a good game to play a la Mon Hun.They're using an interesting pricing model for FFCC, if it can help brand exposure and lead to further entries that would be great (I'm sure that's the optimistic scenario) but yeah low expectations all around for Japan, the brand was never big to begin with and has been dormant for a long time, remasters usually don't sell much in Japan and this particular one doesn't bring up a lot of novelty either (I don't even think you can do coop any other way than online ? For Switch that's a shame really)
Also there's a mobile SKU so it could hamper the sales of the Switch SKU a little bit maybe, I'm not sure.
Anyway 100-120k LTD is the ceiling I think, hopefully 50k the floor
iirc there is LAN and only one cartridge is needed to make it work (you can download a Lite version of the game with MP and the 3 first dungeons).I think there is single screen co-op, but absence of LAN multiplayer on Switch is going to hurt it. Would have been a good game to play a la Mon Hun.
from what I understand the demo is actually online only (which is pretty cool!) but i don't believe local play is supported. i might be wrong thoughiirc there is LAN and only one cartridge is needed to make it work (you can download a Lite version of the game with MP and the 3 first dungeons).
This time the topic is pretty original for our standards I'll give you that
Never seen such a topic pop up like this in all my years following these threadsI have been a lurker in this thread for a year or two now and this is one of the weirdest topics

Yes that's what happened during Week 24 in Japan.W101 failed to chart in UK top 40. probably the same for japan top 30?
Seems studios under haruda's control are the odd ones outUpdate for my favorite publisher's releases for 2020 and later. The battle between Switch and Bandai Namco studios under Harada's control begins soon.

oh it was released in japan already? i forgot about that
damn, brutalThere is no single screen coop, the information was mentionned at first only on the Playstation blog then removed later on
All materials since have only made mentions of online coop, even local coop with multiple consoles seems to be absent

Wowzers. I hope Jupiter is getting nice bonuses as they developed the game.Damn, 900 000 units sold for Fitness Boxing (worldwide). Unstoppable.
