It's incredible how SE underestimated Octopath, considering that Bravely Default sold 140k fw and how the Switch software is selling with brand new games (and sometimes even with old ports lol)

Solid numbers all around. Well maybe not so for PS4 but at least new MH:W bundle should get it over 20k weekly barrier for some amount of time. Detroit has also already doubled the sales of Heavy Rain. Great performance from it.

The jump is due to the bundle that released last week

They couldn't even ship the same amount of copy as BDFF. The sell through rate must be crazy but I can't say I'm impressed by the number. Also Kingdom Heart leg is legit something worth talking about now.

Forgot to mention that I'm surprised that Shining Resonance Switch charted above the PS4 version (although not so surprising since that seems to be the case in the rest of the world but with Japan you never know).

Considering Switch was selling 35k before the release streak started and it's now doing 50k I'd say releases are moving hardware.

Shining Resonance Refrain released earlier on PS4 (march 29 2018), sold 24k FW.

I wonder if this will add fuel to Square Enix's push for Switch releases, they have that studio, but this might change their perception of what projects go to the Switch and future Switch iterations.

Its probably more of a cart production problem then underestimation from Square Enix. The first shipment is decent, the follow up shipments are the problem especially with carts where ordering small amounts can be expensive.

Did you see games like Dissidia NT or Trails of Cold Steel 3 bumping PS4 HW? Cuz OT sold similar to them. These are not system sellers. Even games much bigger than them are not system sellers.
