Fake edit: FE3H this week, curious about any potential HW impact for this one. If there's one, it'll be rather limited, end of month is going to have a bigger impact imo.

MUA3 about as expected, PBS great performance!

SMM2 hold is very strong this week, I was expecting a slightly larger drop than 16%. Switch hardware seems to suffer from new model announcements, which shouldn't come as a surprise.

Really, really strong debut for PBS 2019.

Looks like Switch will be hindered a bit until the Lite and the improved OG come out. I don't know if Fire Emblem will help counter-act that or not next week.

That's a stunning debut for Pro Baseball Spirits, way beyond my wildest expectations. PS4 SKU alone did really well, but I wasn't expecting any Vita release to be clearing 10k this year, let alone 40k.

For reference, the last entry on Vita (2015) opened to 46k, every entry prior to that was sub 40k.

It's kind of crazy that at retail SMM2 is following the exact same trajectory as NSMBU Deluxe. I hope the digital split is really spectacular.

I normally always advocate buying a console when the person thinks that the current offering is worth it, rather than waiting for a potential future upgrade. But in that case, the upgrade is so close...

Konami, like a lot of other 3rd parties, continues to play 4D chess with the Switch instead of supporting it with the same titles like on PS4 or Vita. Sigh...

I still don't understand why Nintendo announced the Lite so early. Hardware sales might be rough in the next weeks unless this is just a pre-Fire Emblem effect and people holding off buying one this week.

Yeah, I really hope Super Mario Maker 2 will be strong in December. Do as much as New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and worst than Super Mario Maker on 3DS would be a big disappointment.

I don't think that the Lite plays a big role in Switch decline. More the fact that a better model releases literally in 1 month for the same price.

I'm genuinely surprised MUA3 charted at all. Very obvious this title would depend almost entirely on NA sales.

Also, just want to point out Vita outlasted 3DS in terms of new entries to thw charts. Pretty obvious 3DS will never see this list again with a new game. Unless I missed a new 3DS game announcement somewhere (very possible)

Probably,but the Lite being announced doesn't necessarily reduce sales of the original Switch since they both offer extremely different value propositions. The fact that a new upgrade with absolutely no loss in value (as opposed to the Lite which doesn't have as many features) was announced for literally the same price will play a bigger role in slowing current sales.

It's both, but Nintendo simply won't be shipping as many or any OG Switch units in the run-up to the updated model and that will affect supply along with demand.

The "old" Switch is sold with some discounts (games or eShop credit) on many places, so if you don't care about a longer battery life, now is the time to buy a Switch cheaper than ever. The Lite Switch is not a good value for many anyway, it has clear disadvantages.

Yeah I am aware of it but it's once again a "kiddy" game instead of a game for a more mature audience. And I don't mind that they released Jikkyou, don't get me wrong. It just shows they have no clue what kind of audience they have with the Switch.
