Ghost of Tsushima did amazingly well which might be understood by the setting. At the same time, PS4 hardware is nothing amazing.

Switch, on the other hand, above 100k+ units and evergreen keep slaying.

Paper Mario did ok-ish, not a growth one would expect given Switch popularity but legs and digital sales will make up for it.

Keep in mind that Summer holidays tend to favor Nintendo games. If stock is there, the gap could widen over time.

Fantastic performance for GoT. Really strong debut and demand is strong.

Paper Mario had an good launch, probably on par with SPM with digital, but it is the legs that'll say whether it did eventually okay or great.

Switch hardware is fantastic, nothing to add, potential is not fullfilled yet.

It is funny how Animal Crossing seems to have settled at its baseline, which is higher than most game launches.

4. Regarding Paper Mario: 109k for Paper Mario is good, but not great. If we assume a digital ratio of 30%, then the sales were 150k in total. If you consider how great the launchsales of other switch games were (and how amazing the hardware numbers are at the moment and for the last months), then I would have for sure expected some higher numbers for Paper Mario. My guess was 150k-170k for retail only.

There were news that Ghost of Tsushima sold out in Japan. If not, that number must have been higher. It is still disappointing that the great performance of GoT didn't move that many PS4 consoles though.

Yeah, retail only numbers. Though Famitsu likes to give out digital estimates once in a while ... with varying degree of being correct.
