The baseline for the software of this week is surprisingly high no wonder the only PS4 and PSV releases in the top 20 are new releases
Switch has been close to 50k all summer long, ever greens keep being green, Super Mario Odyssey almost fell out of the top 20.
From next week and on to the week before SMO release Switch average ~46k a week. Switch should stay ahead the entire time.

Okami is a great game but I don't see it as a game that gets a lot of replay. After 5 releases I'm not sure there's a lot of people who want to play it that haven't already done so.

The Octopath Traveller stock situation is ridiculous. I thought we were getting some more substantial restocks in as August but it looks like it was tiny and we have to wait until September for another decent restock.
I could be wrong but if I recall the Okami physical release was a limited run as it is digital only in most places. So I think that it a pretty good result.
Switch hardware has just been remarkably consistent all year. I think it just has the right amount of catalog software and new, smaller releases to simmer like it has been and is waiting for some newer breakout titles to really start pushing it.
That and Core Pokemon will definitely have aj impact, yeah. 2019-2020 in general though are going to be two huge years in terms of HW and SW. The olympics tourism boom is going to cause some wild ass anomilies in terms of SW sales in two years, non-localized games are going to be bought wholesale by people who might not have gone to Japan otherwise.

How is PS4 moving decent hardwares but tanked hard on softwares. Does anyone even play this thing in Japan?

A lot of PS4 software titles lie outside the top 20. They still outnumber Switch titles in volume but are a lot more spread out, and sell less copies per title.
A large second-hand market is also a factor.
Baseline is high to enter the top 20 this week.
2nd-hand market has a lot of major PS4 games at a far lower price (MHW, DQXI...) so that might explain it.

Mario Tennis Aces has a decent chance to surpass 400K by the end of August. With big third quarter for hardware still to come, I feel it has a decent shot of finishing with over 750K sales in 2018.

Splatoon 2 launch was around 330K considering the shipped numbers for the end of June(1.38M) and the additional week of tracking MTA should be very close to those type of numbers. Either way the game is on it's way to 3M shipped+digital this year.

Looks like decent second week drop. Should be well over 100k by the end of the month. 200k by the end of the year if it doesn't just die off after the summer holidays and get end of year boost.

Minecraft on Switch is a perfect match. Game is going to sell for yeaaaaars. 2m is a lock imo. 3m+ entirely possible (years from now tho).
Year 2011 was the price drop, and year 2012 the XL revision. I don't think these are fair comparisons, so I'll use year 2013 and 2014.

Another week for SE to disappoint potential Octopath buyers. I'm still scratching my head at how badly they've handled its release so far
60k is probably the maximum Switch can go.
But I think it will fall short this mark (~58k)
It is already at 2.3m on Famitsu (2304860), dual packs count double ;) (so ~300k x2 )
Best 3rd version at the exception of B2/W2.

Both MTA and 1-2 have a party-game aspect. Local co-op like you said but MTA has also a big online component and the bundle releases a couple of weeks before the paid Online service.
The other game that had both aspects is Mario Kart and yeah, no need to make a bundle just yet for it.
