For me at least it's just a completely outta nowhere game. Obviously it's not that for the people who bought it but that's where I'm coming from.
You mean to last week's numbers? Yeah I can't see that happening for quite a while, barring stock issues. Probably next spring at some point. But I'm betting it's gonna dip into the 40s or 50s next week and the week after.
Depending on how big the drop is next week, Switch could hit 2m units LTD during Week 36 (Week 37 at the very latest).
Is there any relation between this weeks PS4 game and that anime with the fantastic opening that is also about boats that are/have waifu AI personalities ?(i think archipelago something)
The PS4 game on top of the charts is just the console adaptation of one of the biggest current mobile game IP about waifus boats with huge tiddies.
The PS4 game is a spin-off of a huge mobile juggernaut called "Azur Lane". Apparently, an anime series will start airing in October (MAL).
Ah, ok.
The anime was more flatness=justice, so excess floating material is not that interesting.

I mean, I don't doubt that it would sell fairly well but I don't really see how you get that from the new longer battery-life Switch selling this well. This new Switch is a free upgrade over the previous one, it was always going to sell very well when it launched as soon as we saw the announcement had lowered weekly sales of the older model.
Will be curious to see how the MHW+Iceborne PS4/Pro bundles end up doing. Great start for the new Switch model.
Nah, you're thinking Kantai Collection. Azur Lane is very much a large step down from that in terms of popularity in Japan, particularly since Azur Lane is a Chinese app and Kancolle is Japanese.

Yeah the digital split from all indications we have is a lot higher than Bayonetta 2 for sure, I was just comparing retail. For the shipment+digital of AC we'll have to wait when if passes 1m this FY.

There is probably way more demand for a cheaper version, and this week is more like the result of people holding off for the new model simply because it's better and at the same price, i don't think that translates into a demand for a more powerful model.
Weak opening for Astral Chain (for me). Switch Lite is going to be very interesting though if a revision already triples the previous week. Three more weeks...
I wish Astral Chain did better, I'll be an optimist and say it'll do better when we know digital sales

Yeah, that could be true. I'm sure the cheaper version will do gangbusters. And you're right. This new model is the same price so a more expensive model may not necessarily translate into higher sales. Maybe I'm just venting since I really want a more powerful version!

Is 32k really that good for Astral Chain? Bayonetta 1+2 WiiU did 39k first week though obviously Astral Chain's digital numbers will be much higher.
I'm sure it will happen at some point there's definitely demand for it, specially in the west but we'll see.
