There was likely never a PS4 version in work. Inazuma Eleven has one because football is pretty popular in Europe and on PS4, it's the kind of games that sells to both teenager and young adults. Yo-Kai Watch 4 is targeted for kids and young teenagers, and they play on Nintendo consoles (in Japan at least).
They might have started production on a new Yo-Kai watch game targeting PS4 specs after they finished with 3 and then shifted to switch once it took off.
Maybe like how the original YW was targeting ps3
I don't have those kinds of expectations for Inazuma Eleven. I know the 3DS games did ok, but I don't think the audience is there on PS4
DS/3DS games did very well in Europe, not just "ok". There's a big audience here.
I notice that the demo version of Inazuma Eleven at TGS is on the Switch, which is pretty rare for a multiplatform game I guess. Builders 2 is on PS4 for instance. I think they're gonna push the Switch version hard and the PS4 will be a bonus on the side. Honestly if the game had been greenlit after the Switch took off I wonder if it might have been exclusive as well.

Very kids friendly and current Switch demographics don't go together. After Pokemon comes out younger ages will have bigger share but still far from majority.
Dragalia lost reached 500k pre registrations ahead of the deadline.
Nintendo's only real success on mobile was FE Heroes so hopefully this holds up. Looks interesting and exceeding pre registrations goals presumably means pre launch expectations have been surpassed

Demos are almost always usually an older build because of what they have to do to get these demos to venues in the 1st place
I'm curious, what do they have to do? Is making a demo really that hard? I legit don't know, that's why I'm asking
demos are typically forks of a build. they have to be prepped for stuff like removing redundant data, properly closing off areas, iron out immediate buts, insert unique text, etc. just pulling the latest progress and slapping that onto a disc means whatever problems are in the most current built might crop up and make for a bad showcase
In that case, how come games like Mario Tennis leave everything in the demo for people to datamine it?
some companies don't care about certain things. on the other end of the spectrum, look at how Game Freak (attempts) to scrub data from their demo

Pretty much. It's an improvement, but far below what Sony and Mobile traditionally see at TGS.
You had zero expectations if 5 ports of smaller games are considered delivering.
I personally was expecting better announcements.
This TGS is pretty disappointing... I expected more, at least a new entry for Ace Attorney.

Switch support has clearly geared up. Especially BandaiNamco has become very prolific on the system. The next move should be day and date releases for more games going forward, Soul Calibur 6 would have been a perfect October release for Switch, but an announcement and release at a later date seems to be quite likely now, if they manage to add Zelda or FE characters, the wait will be well worth it to many Switch owners.
September Direct didn't deliver in terms of third party announcements so I was hoping for a bigger than usual TGS.
It's also true that support is ramping up so 2019 should be a lot better.
DQXI Switch and Sakura Taisen were said to show up, yet we got nothing.
DQ panel, with DQXI producer and director (IIRC) showing up, is tomorrow.
Note: that doesn't guarantee a DQXI unveil, even if there were teases about it.
They confirmed development was going on well recently and we should get news about it soon.
I read through the panel schedule on gematsu for a couple of times yesterday. I don't think there are any time left for these two titles. It sucks, but at least we know they are developing them.
These would be the only interesting thingd for switch, consideing how ace attorney doesn't seem to have any new episode in the work...

I would say the odds of there being an AA title in development is very high.
I thought that was for Builders 2. Cool, I guess. There's still hope.
AA7 should be under development. Capcom just chose to not showing it.
On the other hand, I don't know if Sakura Taisen will show up on Switch, but it is a system seller for me. I am willing to buy any platform for it (if it looks good, of course).
