It got renewed for at second season. It's doing decently. Just not game wise.
I know people clown people for being boolish on spiderman , but historically the sales of this game in Japan and worldwide are unprecedented

It's hard to say. Right now the game is having great legs because I guess the word of mouth took everyone by surprise, so more people are exposed to the game. But the way those PS4 sell, it could disappear in two weeks and never come back. And it's obviously not a system seller. MHW did the same, good legs initially because of limited stocks but completely gone now.
The only big PS4 game sticking around for a while I can think of recently is Nier.
I feel like Spiderman has more mainstream appeal than TLoU II in JP, just b/c it's Spiderman. Also amazing Spiderman legs.
September in Japan was rough last year too, even with the Splatoon 2 hysteria going on. Week 40 (Super Mario Party) is when we're gonna see some changes I think.

The drive kit selling like this is especially sad because it looks like the meatiest of the three games. I think it's time to prepare the nails for Labo's coffin.
Actually incredible legs for Spiderman considering past Japanese market patterns as far as Sony exclusives go. It will sell 10m in no time.

I don't think using past Spider-Man games is going to be a good way of predicting this one in Japan, or anywhere else in the world.
So I know there could be a few announcements during TGS proper, but my sense is 3rd party offerings this year are pretty weak? PS4 had some nice titles announced last week but a few of them seem a long ways off. Switch has had a decent volume of announcements but nothing too major.

300k is not more than possible, it's already 100% guaranteed, PS4 games have strong digital sales (especially with out of stock releases which Spiderman was to some degree) and the game was already around 250k by the end of last week.
400k is perfectly doable and anything above that will depend on its legs, we'll see.

The best thing they could do for Labo is separate all of the pieces and sell each item individually with a free digital download (which is what the should have done from the start)
I'd buy just the piano+digital download code, for say... $18.99
..but I'm not spending $69.99 for a set.
NBA 2K19: 20th Anniversary Edition was first released on September 7th for a whooping ¥12,450.
Hence, smart minds waited until the regular edition came out on September 11th (¥7,580) and so we have this massive jump.

If Nintendo is serious about Labo as a platform, we will see an uptick in marketing closer to the holidays. Nintendo can say they're within their expectations all they want, I don't think retailers love having three of these things rot on their shelves.
