Calm before the storm for Switch. 50k is ok for this week, had been expecting sales to drop earlier than they did tbh.

Daemon x Machina did ok, all things considered. Not amazing, but not a complete bomba at least.

Seems like a pretty decent debut for DxM. The other two new releases don't seem good though.

I wasn't sure it was going to break 10k... I don't know if that was a common expectation or not... but this seems at least not terrible for Daemon.

Great hold for MHWI. Switch holding 50k the week before a major price dropped revision launches is quite good, as well.

DxM debut is better than expected, nice.

DXM did a lot more than what I expected (9k), so good.

Expected MH legs are there too.

But in all seriousness, judging from the boost alone, what are the chances of Gears 5 getting into top 30?

I'd think so, especially considering the genre. Is this the first in-house developed Marvelous title? Considering the developer is "Marvelous First Studio" and all.

I am happy for DxM. I don't like what I have played of the game, but it seems that the developers put a lot of love in it and genuinely improved the game beyond what I thought possible after the first demo. I hope it'll do well worldwide too.

Having both this and Astral Chain performing better than expected would make me very happy.

Good week for the PS4 and its software. The Fall to Spring transition for the PS4 seems strong, cant wait to see where it goes for the PS4's final year.

Expectations must be low if people think Daemon X Machina did remotely good. If a mecha game doesn't sell in Japan tell me where it will. That's a bad result.

Nice hold for MHW:I, much better debut than expected for DxM, awful result for Losing 11, and beautiful HW numbers for Switch days before the launch of the Lite.

I was saying 20k would be a good opening for DxM (but I was bracing for 10k) this is way higher than I expected.

No they did Fate/Extella and God Eater 3, and it's really just a rebrand because IIRC the Daemon X Machina team is mostly the Monster Hunter Stories team.

Daemon did much better than we were expecting. And damn the switch's HW hold is great given what comes this week.

If you have been reading this thread in the last few months you would see that people expected way, way lower. The hype and advertising for this game were almost nothing. I am frankly shocked it did that well.
