An advice to everyone: avoid argomentum ad hominem.

Stick to the topic at hand by attacking or commenting the substance of the argument itself rather than of attacking or simply commenting the character or motive of the person making the argument.

Discussion will gain.

This week gonna be pretty bad. Wom on Fifa20 is bad. Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a mess. Ys and WWZs 2nd week also won't set the chart on fire. Hope DQ has a good hold.

Somewhere. I think.
Is the digital game only pack MyNintendo exclusive and therefore not tracked?

Those are always exclusive, so yes. In that case, it doesn't make any sense, if you want people to play a game on a daily basis (it IS a fitness game after all), it's better to have it digitally, so that there's no need to switch carts every time the kids play Mario Kart 8 on the family Switch.

It is strange that Final Fantasy VII remake is on 12th in that list or it is normal?

No idea.

I'm curious to see what the ratio between OG Switch and Switch lite will be next week; it could be an early indication if I was right when predicting that 1 year from now, only 30-ish% of the new sold Switch would be the lite ones in Japan. (and 20-ish% worldwide)
I do not feel that the lite is such an attractive proposition compared to the flagship model, even for someone who plays mostly handheld. Still a good product for Nintendo, as it doesn't seem to interact much with the sales of the OG Switch.

Switch Lite is targeted towards kids and less demanding gamers hence it will sell more during holidays. Outside those periods, Switch can definitely be bigger in terms of sales.

I think all those who expect some lackluster PS5 launch in japan may be end up being wrong, it is my impression Sony may have learned the importance of having Japanese games ready for launch window, both for Japan and the West, and will surprise people here. I say this based on the what I perceive as the radio silence from the major Japanese publishers as far as big games announcements this year.

P.S.
And no, I am not a Sony fan, I own only a Switch (with 3 Switches in my household and a fourth coming soon) and couldn't care less about the success of PS5 one way or the other. Being a company owner myself (not the size of Sony...) this is just what I expect from a business like Sony though after they saw the success of most of their Japanese games this generation. I expect them to do it for the sake of their Western sales, but as a side effect this should be beneficial for their Japanese sales as well, at least out of the door. Total PS5 sales may still end up same or less than PS4.

Hmm... All the big guys have been hard at work. Capcom with REmake 2 and Iceborne, Squeenix with KH3+DLC, DQXI S and FF7 Remake, Bamco with Tales, Sega with Yakuza, Atlus with P5 the Golden and From Software with Elden Ring.

I expect PS5's first year to be littered with "all-in-one" ports of these games from these guys and even their 1st parties mixed with the typical cross-gen launch output from the big western publishers. That and "please be excited" announcements.

PS5's first year performance depends on how successful Sony is at migrating the audiences from PS4 with cross-play, cross-save, BC and how many 3rd parties mh megatons they can announce in the first year.

P.S. The only new ones I expect to see during first year is Tekken, Street Fighter, and maybe Monster Hunter. Leggy games that won't quickly be replaced.

That's very low. Your predictions are yours of course, but have you taken into account that you're predicting for the entire month and not your launch week?
The entire month is two weeks for The Witcher 3.

So thats why the DS and 3DS did so well, due to the double and triple dippers :P

Seriously though, i wonder how big marketshare the double/triple etc. dippers account for.
I thought my (spin, spin) was enough to show I was joking but on a more serious note the concept of double dippers is hard to quantify.

If someone replaces a system with a new, more powerful one, their older system is usually sold so the consumer base remains even/increases.

If the buyer keeps the old system (hoarder, several television sets, siblings) then the consumer base doesn't increase.

Then people replacing broken/out of warranty systems.

The last two situations are probably very very marginal and should be statistically speaking dismissed.

Sure, i knew it was a joke, thats why i also joked about it =) I just added the more serious note as a talking point to see how much revision system affects the overall userbase.

Yeah, the first point is probably the most likely one, although i wonder how many of the excisting users that choose to upgrade, if the revisions are mostly bought by new users or being upgraded by excisting users. I guess it also depends on what exactly the revision brings to the table.
