Whats wrong with the Sins, i am loving the anime
20./21. [NSW] Monster Hunter Double Cross: Nintendo Switch Ver. # <ACT> (Capcom) {2017.08.25} (¥5.800) - 3.162 / 207.939
That Switch drop... The Monster Hunter thirst was beyond real. It will need some weeks to start selling like before.
Man those anime games are not really working out for Namco this gen.
The incredibly niche market the prefers a couple more frames and pixels.
So I guess MH is officially the most popular Japanese franchise now (or was it already?).
Not when Pokémon and Dragon Quest existSo I guess MH is officially the most popular Japanese franchise now (or was it already?).

Where are you getting this number from?Switch production creeping up a little, although it could just be arbitrary fluctuations. Getting 50k a week onto shelves would be a good goal for the short term.
I mean, Gintama did pretty well last week and this week. But in general yeah, it seems PS4 definitely isn't the place for any smaller anime cash ins.
Hmm, that is 33% less than MH4 and Capcom said they shipped 5 million WW. Is there a a big difference between shipped numbers and sold numbers world wide or did it sell better WW?
Pokemon and Dragon Quest are things you know.So I guess MH is officially the most popular Japanese franchise now (or was it already?).
I thought MHW was exclusive to PS4 in Japan.
If you mean the 50k, it's arbitrary; my musings, rather than official numbers, but it's a bit of a psychological milestone compared to previous weeks of, well, not getting 50k onto shelves each week.
Consoles are region free.
In Japan? No way. Worldwide it's possible.Pokemon and Dragon Quest are things you know.
More importantly, let's see if MHW beats Splatoon 2 LTD.
it is
The first one on PS3 did sub 100k, unless this one grows then is not big un JapanSo what are the next bigger releases for PS4 in Japan? Ni No Kuni 2 is in march, what else is coming in the next months?

Pokémon is the biggest worldwide. Not even close.

You do realize that they were selling like 2-3m per year on the 3DS this generation ... Right? lolIt begins...
Sony should have had MHW earlier in ps4s life. What a huge mistake
Yep, Ni no Kuni is a non-factor in Japan, the reason the sequel was greenlit was because of the very good western sales for the first one.The first one on PS3 did sub 100k, unless this one grows then is not big un Japan
Hmm. But how do we know there aren't more on shelves but sales slowing for a bit until more compelling software come out?If you mean the 50k, it's arbitrary; my musings, rather than official numbers, but it's a bit of a psychological milestone compared to previous weeks of, well, not getting 50k onto shelves each week.

You are joking, right?
No? If you meant it as a joke, ok. But if you really think this might be the case, that most people bought XX unknowingly thinking this is the new game, you're way off - this is on par with how XX has been selling for a while now, maybe just a little bit higher (as in a few hundreds) but even that is more probably either statistical noise or because MH's mindshare is heightened with all the marketing.YES MH GET IT!
More than anything I'm glad to finally see it getting noticed worldwide. Also 3k parents bought the wrong MH for their kids.
