Also, as predicted, RingFit will be Q4's system seller on Switch, before Animal Crossing lands.

Yakuza and Kakarot dropped like non-Nintendo JRPGs usually do. I sort of expected softer drops given word about high sellthrough last week but I guess not.

PS4 hardware collapse is stunning. 10m is starting to look like an impossibility now.

Great week imo!

Nice drops for Yakuza 7 and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Much worse could have happened, but word of mouth is good for both. Excited to see how this continues.

Ring Fit Adventure up another 9% is good news. Less than a thousand units away from taking the #1 spot even! :O Who knows where this will end? Of course it will face competition from Animal Crossing when that comes out and takes Nintendo's marketing focus and the audience's mind share. However, the use case for Ring Fit Adventure is so specific that I expect that game to continue to sell well after Animal Crossing's launch.

Almost 70.000 units sold of Switch hardware in Week 4 is a great result. I expected a much harsher drop after the holidays. The share of the Switch Lite is stabilising between 30% and 35% the last couple of weeks, which I think is very good when you take the system's share in its launch period into consideration.

Dr. Kawashima has a drop that's very similar to the drops of the evergreen titles. I'll keep my eye on it. I have good faith that it will become one of the many evergreen sellers that we keep seeing in the top 10-15 of the weekly charts for the months to come.

PlayStation 4, Nintendo 3DS, and Xbox One hardware sales are really at the end of the road. All three systems have more than halved YTD in comparison of last year. All eyes are on the Switch now. Even more so than last year. I feel like the last week of March and Final Fantasy VII Remake's launch week in mid-April are the only weeks to keep an side eye on the PS4. Quite a shame. I hope Sony will unveil the first PS5 content batch soon.

I'm looking back at Wii/DS era and I don't think it has. It was much, much harder to break the Top 10 back then though, oftentimes you would have to sell 30k+ to chart.
