Good sales for Mario Party, only a little worried for the rest of 2018 due to the Yokai Watch 4 delay.

Super Mario Party is doing well. I expect it to stay on the list for a long time.

Dragon Ball Fighterz had a better second week than Xenoverse 2 did last year, so that's a good sign.

I overall like what Furyu is doing. The new Caligula, Work x Work and Crystar all interest me, but nothing they make sell. Pretty sad.
I don't dislike their games, but WxW too me felt like a breath of fresh air for them content-wise, Nobuyuki Inoue being responsible for the scenario really caught my interest. Hopefully someone brings it to the west.

Crystar looks like it could be good too.

DBX2 had severe stock issues last year. It is still a nice drop for DBFZ, I hope that the Broly movie hype will carry it even further.

I didn't realise Work x Work was this week. Yikes. That whole "FuRyu leaving gaming" this was debunked right? But with results like this I dunno why they keep trying.

But hey, XB1 up massively! Nice SMP sales too (less so for Mega Man)

Huh, what's with the XB1 spike there (Okay, a spike of XB1 proportions, so still minor, but a noticeable spike nevertheless). Did that get a price drop too?

Great SMP debut. Another future 4-5 million seller (WW) in the books for the Switch.

Yeah, they never said that. Just that they didn't have anymore stuff to announce for sometime (as they already have many projects underway).

Maybe it's time to realize that they can't rely solely on the japanese market.
? But Caligula is releasing in the west. I expect Work x Work to release here too.

Hmm, Megaman sold more on Switch. I'm sure all those people "concerned" about 3rd party sales on Switch last week will be back to acknowledge this performance.

Pretty unremarkable week all the same, slightly harsh drop for PS4 I guess.

The Switch evergreens are at their lowest point they have been all year, and the hardware is still in the same range as always. When can we expect things to start picking up?

Biggest retail debut in de series since Mario Party 9.
Switch continuing the trend of better 1st party sales from last gen, rebranding the game did it good.

The Switch must have the most incredibly consistent hardware sales percentage change week to week ever for a console up to this point in the year. That shit just is stable.
You can't have spikes at hardware without big titles. Evergreens and continued flow of new releases keep the baseline steady.

Ouch @ PS4 sales. Given the PS4 Pro sales dropped 2500, the PS4 sales would only be 16500 anyway without the price cut announcement.

Between Inazuma Eleven and Yokai... take your time to perfect your product but they are announcing their games too early and too closely together. It use to be a running gag but fucking hell it's uncomfortable seeing a company as big as, and with so much potential as Level 5 torpedo their games business like this with Kickstarter-esque mistakes in planning and marketing.

I see now why Inafune got a job there. Kindred spirits them...

the sales to beat this Q are 1.5M compared to last year. as of this weak due to lack of splatoon, Switch is tailing 6% behind same period last Fiscal Year. but with Pokemon and Smash for Holiday vs only Mario O last year, they will likely rebound this Quarter

The whole third party Switch sales was always silly. The sales for the most part have been fine. Some clear successes, some clear failures, some normal performers. The whole thing seems healthy to me.

The price cut may plausibly have encouraged people who *would* have bought the baseline unit to instead hold on for a short while and go Pro instead. I wouldn't consider that particularly scary in isolation, but we'll know for certain next week!

Starting this week, all the way up to christmas. Evergreen are low this week because the new big evergreen of this fall just released.

October is generally a slow month (one of the slowest actually).
Next week (week 41) evergreens will probably be up due to Monday 8th being a national holiday, but expect to drop again the week after.

From mid-November, in week 46 is when things will start to go up to Christmas.

I think it just looks kind of ass visually. Like, extremely cheap, and not in a charming way in-game. Shame seeing Furyu keep losing, especially after Caligula Overdose was pretty damn good, but /shrug.

Retailer hints vol.1

Call of Duty looks it could match last year's opening. After it comes out it's the last chance for the remaining western titles to pick up some steam, Red Dead Redemption 2 is at better position from the others.
Super Mario Party will have a strong hold at its second week.
