Good opening for CoD, nice second week for SMP, uneventful HW sales and the PS4 Pro price cut had strictly no meaningful effect.

Mario Party had a pretty good hold. It's going to do amazingly well during holidays.

Call of Duty debut is really good. PS4 didn't have much successful software this year.

Damn, have the japanese also caught the Battle Royale bug? That's huge for COD.

Nice to see Spider-man still in the top 10, 300k+ until the end of the year seems possible.

Great start for CoD and a pretty decent PS4 bump. Mario party held well, its in for a strong holiday period. 1 million here we come. Decent hold for switch, ready for the holiday bump.

I said that CoD could be a very good surprise with a 200K+ opening.

There it is, in the top 3 of the best CoD opening with BOPS II and Ghosts.

I am not sure the sales decrease is due to paid online or lower HW sales compared to last week. But I think we have seen switch online heavy games to continuously decrease in sales for 3 weeks?

Looks like the PS4 will outsell the amount of units they did last year by the end of October from the looks of things. Nice to see the PS4 is still strong in Japan despite the generation coming to a close soon.

Edit: Nevermind seems the chart was a little misleading.

The same effect is also happening with Super Mario Odyssey, and Kirby looks like it is suffering a similar fate. It seems more of a lull in software sales than something specific to multiplayer games imo.

The last YTD column is the number of units sold during the 41 first weeks of 2017. Sadly, the PS4 will be down YoY.

Why do the evergreens keep decreasing actually? Last week it was SMP but this week it continues the trend despite hardware numbers being the same.

October, besides for the occasional big release, might be one of the slowest periods of sales in Japan. Not sure why that is exactly, but it is usually true. October and May.
