Finally made it over (well some hours ago technically), but thanks Vena and ZhugeEx!

It could be worse I guess, but it sold worse than GT6, which was already a huge decline. GT5 sold 418K its first week on PS3.I'm assuming 150K for Gran Turismo in Japan is pretty good right?
It seems the PS4 momentum will never be stopped.
Nice to see you again Nirolak, and great to have your knowledge as always!I'm pretty optimistic on Animal Crossing's earnings potential given how well Gardenscapes and Homescapes are doing in Japan despite being Russian games, the strength of the Animal Crossing IP, and the fact the game looks competent both as a product and as a service.
It having a regular mobile f2p business model is of course the most important key.
Would Splatoon 2 sales be interesting?I was preparing the Prediction League and the upcoming month must one of the saddest Novembers I remember, I am struggling to make a list of 4 or 5 games worth predicting for.
We have Pokémon Sun / Moon, Call of Duty: WWII, Star Wars Battlefront II and what else? And it is not that these shooters are very interesting titles to predict. I guess I will also include Super Mario Odyssey second month.
Omg you're back Aqua? Nice to see you again! There are two enterprises which track Japanese point-of-sale data: Kadokawa (which operates Famitsu and Dengeki), and Media Create.
Media Create is the most-followed Japanese video game industry tracker because they're the one that the Big 3 use. Nintendo regularly quotes Media Create data in financial reports to investors, boosting its legitimacy. That's why the thread title focuses on it. I think it's also a legacy holdover from a very long time ago when there wasn't regular Famitsu data, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
