Next gen is coming soon don't worry.
But overall it's not gonna change too much but the PS4 versions of bigger western games gonna start charting soon.

And yeah for hardware number the PS5 is really needed - that current PS4 baseline isn't a good look for the market.

I agree that makes it more interesting but i think the charts can still be fun with 1 console domintating. Holiday sales + big SW releases + HW revisions all make things interesting. It's just a quiet time right now.

Am expecting the launch shipments to completely sell out but beyond that it's hard to guess the PS5 legs. I imagine the hardware and increased software prices will be a factor.

Yeah I'm actually quite pleased with those sales for Mario Kart Live, I was expecting the entire shipment to be around 75k.

And Japan probably will be one of the weaker regions for this.
