Clearly it's because Sony is shipping so many PS5 to Japan, retailers need to make space for them by heavily discounting all the Switch consoles gathering dust on store shelves.

UK numbers were only 18% lower, and digital has been going up a lot this year, so just using UK retail gives them a very wobbly basis. Japan sees astronomical growth for P3D, but ROTW is completely unknown, so a lot is still uncertain, of course
