Pokemon Sword and Shield came out this week last year. The yoy drop isn't really disappointing so much as expected. The system is still up over 50% this year from 2019.

Yes, last year had Pokémon. A drop was inevitable this year, especially with the big November week being next week (Hyrule Warriors, RFA bundle). 116k is actually better than expected.

Last year they were able to stockpile more for the Pokemon release than they've been able to stockpile this year due to the increased demand all year long.

Next week with AoC should be much bigger.

Isn't this a pretty low number for Call of Duty? I thought the games usually hit 100k+. This looks like a pretty poor showing for all of the big western games, though I don't know how well Assassin's Creed usually sells. I wonder if the Japanese audience viewed the Spiderman game as more of an expansion and less of a sequel, because that number seems especially low.

Spider-Man went from 132k first week to 40k. It's a smaller game, but still.
Second lowest call of duty opening on PS4, barely above Infinite Warfare.
Lowest ever debut for a new KH game I believe.
