Great HW hold for switch. Japan continues to be sidelined by Sony.

Konami on track to have its biggest hit domestically since MGS4.

I feel the software situation is the worst part, literally nothing on the top 10. I suppose theyre buying 2nd hand PS4 games.

are you adding AoC too, to this comparison?

Momotaru had a HUGE debut, especially for the type of game it is (will probably continue selling until the end of the year)

AoC very solid debut, probably 200+ counting digital, while I expcted 200k for the Switch HW numbers honestly

Stock constraints on all PS5 and Xbox SKUs. Switch and ring fit were in stock almost everywhere. Momotaro Dentetsu is a long running popular series since the Famicom.

I'm surprised they even shipped another 40k PS5 units to Japan tbh. Expected Japan would get the shortest end of the stick for a good while.

Konami is on a roll now. Momotaro did great and seems like it will join the million seller club. I wonder how PES 2021 will do. I'm betting there will be a Switch version.

Switch hardware is held down by Ring Fit bundles and of course no premier Nintenfo release. I think Switch will do around the same numbers as last year or maybe a little bit more these few weeks.

Amazon had sizable share of Momotaro sales.

Comg multiplier for high sellers at Switch has gone to 1200-1300, they have stayed behind.

Well when we're talking about if it's being sidelined or not in Japan it feels weird to use the fact that it launched 3 months earlier when stock is obviously going to be more spread out against it

I agree: coming from PS4 launch, tihs (limited) supply for the Japanese market is still an improvement

Btw, seeing Momotaru 500k figures being sold-through means that Sakuna sold TONS of copies on the eShop :|
do we know how is AoC performing on the JP eShop, too?

Great SW sales on switch atm. AOC, momotaro, sakuna and all the evergreens. Considering Nintendo didn't have a big holiday game the switch looks set to end the year well for SW sales.

Not sure how they'll go getting switches on shelves. I doubt they've been able to stockpile that much and they need to ship a ton everywhere outside of Japan right now.
