Strange.
Isn't it just likely that growth from Switch is offset by decline on PlayStation?
Perhaps, nevertheless if that is indeed the case I would be surprised if we don't get out of stock reports for the Switch version. It's even somewhat worse than I thought, Ryza 1 came out in Japan end September , not end October.

I got Atelier Ryze for Switch but the beginning is very meh.
Hope it improves soon.
The first one? If you like collecting and crafting, I thought it was pretty standard fare. The main issue I had with the game was the difficulty curve. You're either too OP to use most of your skills or you get one-shotted by a powerful enemy.

November has 5 weeks and December 4 weeks this year, in 2019 it was 4 weeks for November and 5 for December (Famitsu).

Only bringing this up because of how NPD reports, but it seems like on the surface, NSW + NSW Lite 2020 should be the highest hardware revenue year in JP? With 65/35 split of 6M total, that's around ¥155B I think? For NDS 06 with Famitsu numbers I get approximately ¥146.5B, so I suppose falling short of 5.7M would make it miss that mark.

Y'all didn't ask for it, but I'll provide it!!!

Momotaro vs Super Mario Party (unfair comparison)

SMP FW: 126.3k
W2-W8 —> 347.6k (Total)
W9-W13 -> 764.9k (Total)

Momotaro

FW: 345.7k
W2: 126.7k

Momotaro going to shatter SMP aligned (if you out SMP First 8 weeks as W1)

Expectations from retailers for December software sales are high, despite the lack of Pokemon this year. Switch evergreens will cover a very big distance.

:(

Its doing well on Steam at least.

Amazing game, it deserves more

By ps5 it is the console, not the game.
The PSN charts are units based instead of revenue.
PSN tracks PS4 and ps5 versions seperately
Look at PS4 charts it's heavenly influenced by the black Friday sales.

All the titles in the list of PS4 were either new releases AAA titles or Heavily discounted on black Friday psn

Not sure if this is a good indication or not, but Yakuza didnt make to top 20 in EU or USA on PSN charts for both ps5 and ps4.

I meant buying, sorry.

I mean, their version got delayed to feb, dont expect Sony to give them priority in marketing compare to the other games coming in november.

Sure. I get your point. Units Sales in Nov and Dec will skew towards Discounted titles.

Im sure it would had charted, had it been revenue.

But its a bad decision to release in Fall. Should had released it in q4

Funnily enough while your predictions were outliers for the most part, you were the closest one for Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Momotaro.
You can use the search function with "prediction league november" for details

Atelier Ryza 2 for Switch if fully available in all Yodobashi Camera stores.

Sakuna is the one still sold out at every store. They note that a new shipment is arriving tomorrow, but not sure if it will last, or it will sell out immediately.

China Is Nintendo’s Secret Weapon in War With PlayStation, Xbox

On the first anniversary of its official launch in China, Nintendo Co.’s Switch can already count itself the sales champion in a gaming arena that’s historically shunned consoles from powerhouses like Sony Corp. and Microsoft Corp.

Switch it's around 4 million units sold in China. Already outsold PS4 and XONE.
Incredible feat. I do wonder if we will see any software initiatives like Playstation has done with local Chinese devs. Although it is funny that Nintendo has managed to outsell PS4 without that kind of initiative, unless they do have one.
