270k + bundles which I am not sure Media Create tracks probably puts it at 300k overall. That is extremely good.

Okay but this isn't what you said in the first place, which was

Atelier on Switch will not be a good indicator of anything. This is the first main Atelier game EVER on a Nintendo platform. It is just the beginning.......Again, we will have to wait for the actual numbers, but 260k, supply constrained is a good result in Japan, even in December.

270k is extremely good considering it was still sold out and supply constrained. If you add in all the retailers and bundles that I do not think Media Create tracks, it is probably closer to 300k actually.
Okay, cool. I guess my question is was it sold out everywhere? We've heard of these lotteries they've been doing for months in Japan. Was it a similar situation this week and all stock was sold?

I knew 300k was already an incredible result and Switch wouldn't have been able to do more. It's still impressive nonetheless.
Switch will break 500k the holiday Pokémon releases

To quote myself from a couple of days ago...

Now everybody will be super disappointed if it "only" sells 350k or, god forbid 300k (that will be considered bomba)... and 275k will be considered "Nintendo should go third party" territory.

Everyone was on my case for even daring to mention a number below 300K... :-)

Oh well, disappointing vs expectations, but a pretty good number if one ignores them.

I am interested to see how Mario Party does. I think it will be heavily handicapped by the 3DS and the fact that people like to play Mario Party games on consoles.

The Netherlands
Last day of the beta is done, so let's see how MHW is ranking around the world on Amazon:

Japan: 1 +0
US: 68 -8
UK: 85 -15
Germany: 38 -2
France: 67 +20
Spain: *Not in top 100*
Italy: 28 -2
Canada: 94 -46

Bonus: Let's see how DBFZ does on amazon as well, since both games release on the same day:

Japan: 72 +8
US: *Not in top 100*
UK: *Not in top 100*
Germany: *Not in top 100*
France: 21 -6
Spain: *Not in top 100*
Italy: 82 +3
Canada: * Out of top 100*

Continued decline, but the beta is over, so the real legs should start right about now. We'll see how well its legs hold on amazon.

We're back to a 3 day update schedule again btw.
