So many smaller titles just keep on chugging. With the switch set to have a big year I think a lot of the 3rd party titles that weren't seen as all that successful will end up with seriously impressive life time sales.

Every single piece of competent switch software has seen insane legs so far. Bomberman gained 30k sales outside the top 30 over the past 6 months.

Judging by the complete lack of price collapses on every single retail switch software, I'm expecting good legs (and many surprises, I'm looking at you Setsuna and Disgaea 5) and a very interesting TOP 1000 when we get it

Dengeki Online Sales: Week 51, 2017 (Dec 18 - Dec 24)

Dissidia buyers, according to Tsutaya, are mostly younger gamers instead of fans of the PSP original. This means that the buyers are largely buying off newer characters like Noctis/Lightning, or overexposed characters like Cloud. Obviously, the legacy characters matter less this time round, as there is no round of mass market legacy releases like that of the PSP/DS era (The FF12 Remaster is a good game that sold to a narrow base).

If I opens "poorly", it will mean newer FFs (13, 14 and 15) and FFs that were pushed (FF12/FFX) have much less mindshare than the brand had at the point of time PSP Dissidia was released. I am seeing 100k+, if it opens even higher would be a very good result in this market.

I guess this is why SE needs to push FFXV pocket, they need to make the face of the brand (for now) more relevant in Japan for the younger players. Older players have no issues shinking millions of yen to get legacy characters in FFBE, but they also don't own dedicated machines.
