Also SMP low-key heading for that franchise record, although it may be cut short by a sequel this year.

Last year Switch did 1228k in Japan, this year Switch did 1287k in Japan during this period. So Switch is slightly YoY (+5%). If US would have the same pattern, then we can expect ~2.1 Mio. units for US December.

I dunno, I always thought conventional wisdom suggested that a monster hunter launch is massive for hardware. Obviously Animal Crossing is turning conventional wisdom up on its head but I still think it MHR week will be fairly big.

MHR week aligns with the second week of ACNH. ACNH did 392k in week 12, and another 280k or so in week 13. MHR probably is going to be similar to ACNH's week 13, but that whole week 12 will be missing (the bump, that is).
