While budget releases of Ace Attorney GBA entries on DS sold incredibly well, Trilogy on 3DS did low numbers overall. Trilogy HD is the n-th version of the same game everyone has already played many times. Capcom needs to focus on more important stuffs even if bringing the game on other platforms was the necessary step.

It did almost twice as well. Japan has a very solid group of consumers that buy western developed games now so this isn't too shocking.

Japan crushing the UK with those Anthem sales. BioWare's game did less than 45K in the UK when combining PS4 and Xbox One retail sales. Those kind of things seems to happen more and more, even with very westernish games.

Huh, that's a respectable launch for Anthem, IMO. It's still a real shame that the PS4 is getting big release after big release yet the sales of the console themselves are so lukewarm, but luckily the rest of the world is more than happy to pick up Japan's slack. Excited to see how Sekiro and DMC5 will do.

Noone expects the Direct to sell 200K+ hardware lol, but it could help maintain this 50K+ baseline or increase it a bit again.

Even without new big games Switch sells impressive numbers. Kingdom Hearts 3 sales are low, as most other current PS4 games, except Anthem. Ace Attorney gets what it deserve.

Should be funny to see if the Pokemon Direct has consequences next week.

New milestone for the Switch, it passed 3.5m sold in Japan this fiscal year. It currently sits at 3.501.527 units sold, and it has a 308.713 units (+9%) increse YoY. Still 5 weeks left to further improve the 3.431.768 units sold in the last fiscal year.

PS4/NSW are often quite close in terms of week 1 sales because that's where the hardcores junk in...as time goes on the the Switch skus tend to have better legs.

It's the first PW on a Sony console....while alot of PW Switch fans likely already own the collection on 3DS and don't feel like they need to upgrade again.

Japan crushing the UK with those Anthem sales. BioWare's game did less than 45K in the UK when combining PS4 and Xbox One retail sales. Those kind of things seems to happen more and more, even with very westernish games.
