Oh where are you seeing that information? Would be cool to see if Xbox got restocks.
The game is cheaper on the eshop, so there's more incentive to buy it there if you are still interested in the game. It's surprising that SOS has remained at the top of the eshop ranking despite the issues.
So, World has more points than AC, but AC opened higher?COMG info

Depends genre, platform and several factors
World had severe stock issues
Rise will have more preorders than any other Switch game. It will be fine.
True, it's just MH out of the top games is the one that people will pre order more than day 1 buyers. That's why something like AC went from 805 to 1800+ meaning more than half the people people who bought it didn't pre order
I think many people love the art and covers of Bravely Default. Back in the 3DS days there was an excuse for the graphics to not look like on the covers.I love the look of the game but as graphics tech improves people have different expectations of the graphics too. Chibi looks weird when the hardware is capable enough to handle more realistic graphics. In Bravely it is by design though. The picture book art style works well and the characters fit the art style. It really is a artistic game at that but many gamers can't look past that or outright don't like it.
I really do hope the drop won't be that bad for Story of Seasons.
They really should have not rushed the game out.
A big openening and a hard drop with no legs would be a perfect and clear message to the publisher. Show interest and deny it. Hopefully it happens. If they released the game in as bad shape as all the comments suggest, I hope it is a big drop. No one should be supporting games that release in terrible state.
They already publicly apologized for the issues the game has, so they are aware lol.A big openening and a hard drop with no legs would be a perfect and clear message to the publisher. Show interest and deny it. Hopefully it happens.
Just low sales can mean anything.

BD2 charting really well in France, AU, NZ... once again startingto look like UK was more the exception.
It also admittedly held better in the UK than P5 Strikers or the resurgent (due to new PS5 SKU) Yakuza 7. It's more that we had the expected doomsaying last week based on UK chart position alone, which you'd think people would've learned by now.Even then the only reason it didn't crack the U.K. top ten is the same as any other new game, we have the same endless sellers that take up all the top ten every week so it makes the 11-20 position much more interesting.

It's admittedly still way behind Octopath though which had only a 60% drop in its second week, a pretty big feat for a JRPG.

Sure but still keeping pace with BD1 at least and due to the nature of digital now likely exceeding it in total. Also well ahead of Second thankfully. It's admittedly still way behind Octopath though which had only a 60% drop in its second week, a pretty big feat for a JRPG.

Taiwan is a mirror of Japan. In Korea, they don't care about new releases.
Edit: the article also mentions SoS's bugs and long loading times, that hit taiwan's word of mouth.
And it seems the translation of Bravely Default 2 is also a controversy by taiwanese players.
Pokémon SW/SH also opened higher than world, despite fewer COMG pre-orders. Maybe Switch users don't preorder as much?
What is the MHR double pack? Are there two editions of the game?

Admittedly, nobody expected it to sell better than Octopath Traveler, a 2.5 million seller, a pretty big feat for a JRPG.
Octopath is on its way to sell 3m+. For a new IP.
It is an incredible feat. Took decades for franchises like Persona and Fire Emblem to reach these heights. Even higher than any Tales of or Xenoblade game.
Sure but still keeping pace with BD1 at least and due to the nature of digital now likely exceeding it in total. Also well ahead of Second thankfully.
The author of the article speculated that the reason the new releases didn't chart in Korea is that while the games do support Korean, they didn't release physical copies of the games there, so they were not accounted for in the charts.
Which is weird because you can see the package version in the Korean trailer.
I can't read Korean, but it seems there is a retail version.

"At 9th place, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate had a new character releasing and the number of Fighter Pass sales increased with the sales of game that is purchased at the same time also increasing significantly."
Switch has a very good. consistent cadence of releases through July.
