Having only got my headset yesterday, this was nicely timed. I've had a look and ended up getting:
Superhot VR
Swarm
Climb 1&2
Vader Immortal (this one was more of a blind purchase, but it was cheap and I at least want to believe a Vader themed VR game is as good as it is in my mind)
Star Wars Tales (+DLC) - reading about it, sounds like the DLC is the better piece of content. Again, as a fan of SW, Im excited to play a VR SW game.
Walking Dead S&S
Stride (looks like a sorta Mirrors Edge VR like game, so I gotta try that)
Pistol Whip (this one I had on PSVR, but had tracking issues like with Superhot, so as I dont have such issues with the Quest, it was an easy purchase).

Those along with RE4 VR should keep me going until I feel the need to rebuy Beat Saber!

Not sure if I've been spoiled by Steam's 70%+ sales over the years or if those sales just suck :(

Not sure if I've been spoiled by Steam's 70%+ sales over the years or if those sales just suck :(

A bit of both.

If you compare some of the Sales here to the same game on Steam, for example, Moss, you'll see Steam has for £9.51 and Quest 2's is still £13.49:

store.steampowered.com

Moss on Steam

Moss™ is an action-adventure puzzle game from Polyarc tailor-made for the VR platform. It combines classic components of a great game—compelling characters, gripping combat, and captivating world exploration—with the exciting opportunities of VR. Now bundle with the soundtrack.

So Quest 2 Sales are not bad, but the Steam Sale is just very good.

Finally got a 30% code so spending that on RE4.

When I get my referral $30 credit in 25 days I will spend it on Lone Echo 2.

Probably gonna grab Walkabout Minigolf and Synth Riders. Wanted both since I got the Quest a while ago but figured I could wait til a sale.

(I did buy RE4 and Beat Saber already because I knew they wouldn't be on sale)

Is the Sam & Max game any good? Or just a standard 2 hour VR "experience?"

Can't remember who did it, but I watched a comprehensive review video where the reviewer thought it was quite bad.

Today's Deal is:

Job Simulator, which was £14.99 but is now £9.99 due to a 33% Sale Price.

Once again, it seems like they gave us a Monster on sale, then go back to the normal things. 😋

Got Pistol Whip! Looks like a fun game. Probably won't play it for a bit, but I'll get to it. I already have most major games, and both daily deals. Curious on what the next 2 are.

Seems there's only one more, which is The Climb 2, 30% off.

Also, the sale ends in less than 16 hours.

No idea why it don't go to Cyber Monday.

Picked up a Quest 2 when it was $250 with a $50 gift card on amazon last week and set it up over the weekend, really enjoyed it. If you buy a new one get a referral code from an existing Quest 2 user and you both get $30 store credit (theres a seperate thread on era for it).

Games I bought and thoughts

Wander - $7, awesome! Basically Google Maps, not a game at all but its super neat to visit any place on Earth and check it out in VR, good demo app.
Vader Immortal - really enjoying it in short bursts. Great visuals, interactivity is a bit wonky when I am in sit down mode, will have to try standing up. 3 episodes for $15 is great.
Walkabout Golf - really fun but got a bit bored after 20 mins.
Youtube VR - free, awesome
Virtual Desktop - $15, lets me stream games and video from my PC to my OQ2 without using Air link (found air link super uncomfortable).

Gonna wait on a sale for Beat Saber but so far I'm pretty happy. I do sorta feel the novelty factor wearing off and I sorta feel like the OQ2 is gonna be something that mostly sits on the sides but just Wander and VD is pretty nice owning.

Medal of Honor is out but $40 is pretty steep and not really sure I wanna play a full game like that

Medal of Honorâ„¢: Above and Beyond on Meta Quest | Quest VR Games

Multiplayer will be unavailable starting on December 1, 2023. Step into the boots of an agent of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in war-torn Europe. Experience the action-packed single player campaign that puts you on the ground fighting directly through the biggest and most historic...

If Oculus ever sends you a coupon, use it on Beat Saber. I'm pretty sure it's never been on sale with the Quest. So that's the only way you'll ever get a discount.

Didn't you get a 30% (or was it $30 off?) off discount code with your purchase/ being a new member? I did when I bought mine in September and I chose to use it on Beat Saber as it never goes on sale.

Got the Vader trilogy and Swarm.

Tried Swarm yesterday and it seems cool, but I think you need to be standing or in a spinable chair, since using the analog sticks to look around while swinging doesn't feel good at all.

Shame that Beat Saber wasn't on sale, might have finally picked that up if it was.

Stride
Synth Riders
The Climb 2
The Room VR: A Dark Matter
Walkabout Minigolf

Tetris Effect was one of the best games I've ever played when I got it on PS4 (flat) when it first came out. Is the Quest version (with less particle effects and worse controls) worth picking up?

You can use a gamepad with it if you sync it via bluetooth to the Quest. That way you get a proper d-pad.

Cyber monday deals are live! And there are some really good games/discounts among them. Highlights:

Onward (40% off)
Warhammer Battle Sister (30% off)
Please don't Touch anything (30% off)
Dance Central (30% off)
Phantom Covert Ops (30% off)
Lies Beneath (I own it, can't see discount)
A Fisherman's Tale (33% off)
Tetris Effect (40% off)
Racket NX (35% off)
Wraith: The Oblivion Afterlife (40% off)
Sairento VR: Untethered (40% off)
Mini MOtoer Racing X (40% off)
Endspace (40% off)
Racket FUry. Table Tennis VR (35% off)
Ultrawings (40% off)

And Quest Essentials pack including: The Climb, In Deatch, Eleven Table Tennis, Five Nights at Freddys. Total nobrainer, if you don't have any of them.

I thought I was done but Phantom Covert ops, Fisherman's Tale, and Sairento are too tempting to pass up. Maybe Endspace too....

Is there a refund program like Steam? My friend is giving me his Oculus Quest 1. Should be here this week, but after the sale ends. I wanna buy some stuff before it arrives, but scared of stuff that may give me motion sickness.

Same as steam. Own for less than 14 days and played for less than 2 hours = eligible.
