Are you sure? Just checking, because this game has a bug where it will run in 24 fps (slowed down) in fullscreen mode with most cards. Run it in a (borderless) window and its full 60 fps.
my PC can run HL2, Dota, but nothing from last gen and no open world, not even Fortnite

Of all the offensively terrible things in the game this waste of a design is tops ... maybe next to the hammer bros and the budget gekkos or the actually gekkos.

When?
Knowing you delusional people thought that that was a teaser for a sequel will always bring a smile to my face.

Yeah thinking a 2 stylized the exact same way as the games logo might indicate a sequel is being delusional.

Also being happy that people who like a game you don't are upset is just being fucking childishly petty. At what cost to you would a Rising sequel be?

I recently bought it new for crazy cheap and played on PS3. Was a ton of fun, crazy action, great boss battles and a great music, though the short lenght, sometimes bad combo of not that good camera and weird block mechanic and unnecesary stealth sections prevent it for being one of the best platinum games imo.

We don't have to like the game, you and I, and we don't. But why are you happy its fans won't get more of what they loved?

I was crazy enough to platinum this game. I really don't recommend doing that. :P

MGR deserved a sequel, too bad we'll never get one.

Was just playing through some areas again recently, love this game!

These gifs reminded me of the game's biggest flaw: having to go into a menu to change your secondary weapon.

For me it's definitely Platinum's best game so far, by a large margin. It's a perfect storm of gamplay, music, and art direction.

Probably the best spinoff ever? Great in totally different ways than the main franchise, but retains the soul of Metal Gear if that makes sense. The Rules of Nature drop is an all time great gaming moment easily.

Truly, one of the best games ever made. Amazing gameplay, stellar music and rock solid translation/adaptation by the 8-4 crew.

I still wait for the sequel.

The one thing that really breaks my heart that we're never getting a sequel for with current Konami, MGS, Castlvania, Contra, SH, etc... All got proper titles worthy of a send off. MGR was 1 very rushed, yet extremely good title with so much more potintial for a sequel with proper development time.

I think M2 at least hinted at possibly remastering their ReBirth games for Switch, and if those are profitable, I could see more games like those getting made.

I was blown away by that announcement trailer from 2012, was the track in that trailer ever included in the game or released?

The game is amazing, it's the only MGS game I've ever played and I desperately wanted more of it.

One negative for me is that Sam is supposed to be brazilian but has a super generic 'latin' accent. Wish we saw more of him though since he's fantastic outside of that.

How petty and childish can one be? Also, I don't even think you know what a proper analogy is, was that the best you could come up with half a year ago? Yikes.

Must be a pretty miserable life you live if you get pleasure from seeing other people suffer.

This and the Witcher 3 are legitimately the only games I continually go back to, just to fool around with. To call it a masterpiece would be a supreme understatement. It's one of the greatest games ever created, in my mind.

Great game. Even if it's a bit on the short side, the game has SO much replay value. This and Bayonetta are Platinum's best games by far.

Playing legit is one thing, but playing with the cheat items just brings the game to ridiculous new heights. With the infinite blade time wig and the upgraded Fox Blade you could go around in bullet time chopping everyone. It's ridiculous fun.

7/10 game, I'd still really like to see what they could do for a sequel with more development time and a higher budget. The core loop of the combat is just a bit repetitive with the emphasis on parrying (to the point where, on the highest difficulty, parrying is literally all you do) and with how every action just leads into a Zan-datsu. I think the Jetstream DLC was a step in the right direction with Sam's superior movement options and nerfed parries.

That Senator making America great again shit is way too real now.
I will assume that Kojima still had a lot of input on the story of MGR, so yes this confirms that Kojima is a time traveller or at least a great contemporary thinker. MGS2 was basically predicting "fake news" and many other things.

BTW: can you do makros in steam for this game? I wonder how it would play like if you were able to assign the evasion move to a single button.

IIRC, MGR's writer is also a writer for MGS4. So not Kojima, but part of the team anyway. Don't know if he had input in the previous Metal Gear titles.
