Will Metro Exodus ever return to Steam?
Yes - Metro Exodus will return to Steam and on other store fronts after 14th February 2020.
You are charged at the point of purchase. What's the issue? You're not going to be charged any money. They are pieces of shit because they decided they can take their goods and sell them somewhere else?
So it's not about the cut but how much epic paid to keep it off steam for a year.

I'm pretty sure they know how to calculate risk/reward.
Won't play a game that's cheaper just because it's not on steam ?I'm sorry 4A but this one is now a skip because of this.
Fucking shame.
I thnk this is the first time Steam has actually commented on Epic Game Store poaching.

Great, my most anticipated game, preordered with aurora edition (and paid for), now locked behing Epic's bullshit featureless store.
FUCK YOU EPIC. Cancelling the preorder.
Pretty weird way to put the fact that they will get 18 percent more revenue for the first 50 million so...an additional 9 million dollars. And these are a smaller dev in a smaller cheaper country. Not so bad.So they are pissing off countless consumers over $2 a copy? Seems pretty... stupid?
Physical keeps winning.
Disappointing. So far I have seen no communication as to why I, as a customer, should chose the Epic Store, other than "because you'll have no choice due to exclusivity" to which my reply would be, "but oh I do".

Seeing as it's already announced to be a 1 year Epic Store exclusive, the "lower cut" excuse is bullshit. Can someone please explain to me why they're ditching steam recently and going for Epic store? Is it because they get a higher cut of the sales or there's something else I'm not aware of?
The game's up, Valve. Ditch the 30% cut or watch your market evaporate.
