Well since you aren't reading the actual thread, why should I bother responding seriously with a post like that? Seems pointless.

I don't believe people that over the course of years have misled people. I'm sorry that you feel like this is unfair or something or that it's off topic.
Okay, so whenever you make a topic or comment i will bring this up know:
"Oh it is that guy who doesn't even believe what people say who actually work for that company. I would not take anything serious he says, because he is a notorious denier"

And now imagine 50% of the post would be like that. What good discussion could happen this way?
But somehow the forum administration seems to be fine with this as long as the person in question is a public figure.

I am guessing if (and they probably are) they are doing an off-site location, all the planning and permits and negotiations aren't finished yet. Some of that stuff can really drag on. No sense is telling the world what your plans are before it's 100% confirmed.

The Xbox both last years was decent sized, but it was jammed with people almost every day. The Sony booth was WAY bigger, but there was a ton of empty space, and the demo machines were just as packed as the Xbox booth. Nintendo was way big, and way crowded. I didn't make it to EA Play so I'm not sure how that was setup.

2/3rds of the booths to be devoted to recycled Crackdown 3 displays
Hey, if Nintendo could succeed with an entire E3 devoted almost exclusively to Breath of the Wild, there's no reason Crackdown 3 couldn't do the same for Microsoft.

There's no way that Crackdown 3 could match Zelda though. Who am I kidding?

Yep.

I went years ago twice to E3. The years when Xbox booth was huge just like Sony. No matter how big it was, the lines were insufferable. No matter what, waiting over 1 hour to play a few minutes is a chore.

Maybe, just maybe, whatever MS is cooking will finally innovate the E3 concept with fans and media.

Dude has a history of misleading people and if it turns out that Microsoft is not at the actual expo but at an off site location, then he's doing it again.

Do whatever you want, whining about moderation seems pointless. Report my posts if you don't appreciate them and think they're breaking the rules.

him saying the floor space map is not accurate could mean anything from instead of the booth being 10 times smaller than last year it's 5 times smaller to 5 times as large

thing is, if it were the latter, he would have said so

when you're proud about a number you share it, when you are embarrassed you obscure it
If it was smaller i doubt he'd have responded and continued with his day, his response is fairly easy to parse given the context of the question, given we know that 1. Plan is inaccurate 2. Big plans ahead, the discussion is about what those plans entail, that easy to extract from the tweet, but focusing on Greenberg as an individual is derailment and annoying for those that want to discuss/speculate plans in store.

Pretty big if there. I mean they're gonna have a show on the main stage certainly, that alone qualifies as "at the expo". Also "history of misleading" might be more your opinion than actual fact.

Let's be real.

Let's pretend the space revealed is indeed true. And maybe they just have an off-site event like EA.

Is that even smart? E3 will always be bigger than any offsite event. This is the place to make the consumer aware of your brand. To lure new customers into your ecosystem. To inspire confidence among the skeptics. Even Nintendo, which hasn't had a presentation at E3 for years (Nin Direct) has probably the biggest presence every year. Look how fast the Switch is selling. It is just simple marketing and math.

What is MS thinking? I know they are way behind and they have clearly lost this generation, but what is the ace in their pocket?

I am beyond curious with their plans.
99.9999999999999% of their customers will not be at E3, so it doesn't matter if they don't have a huge presence on the floor. Hell, it's only a small minority that will even watch the E3 conference online.

What if the layout is accurate but one of those third party booths, I.E. Square Enix or EA is the "REAL" MS booth because MS bought them.

Great news!! Hopefully all the rampant speculation of the demise of Xbox, or whatever the new hot take is, can stop and we can just get back to talking about actual games and stuff...
The "and beyond" part sounds very interesting. Still hoping for a virtual show floor via XBL.

This is hilariously naive.

Being skeptical of everything a PR person says is reasonable. The fact they "actually work for that company" means their perspective is biased. Their interest is not in having the truth be known but having the company be represented in the best possible light.

It doesn't necessarily mean the plan is inaccurate, just that they have bigger plans. The show floor booth may not tell the whole story.

Plot Twist: The reason the maps aren't accurate is because they have yet to be updated to reflect Microsoft's incoming purchase of Nintendo, Sony and EA

Still don't see why any booth presence matters. The only thing most people see/care about is the press conference.

Wow, so official ESA sanctioned booth maps for this year's E3 are fake. Ok, Microsoft, tell me more.

I don't know if people should count on Halo when 343 seem to be indicating it's not coming as soon as people are hoping.
It was pretty much a given they will not be ready this year when they did not have a teaser/trailer last year. And from what I remember the plan was to introduce the other character (forgot his name) in Halo 5 and then have his own game next and change it up with the main series. After nobody liked Halo 5 because there was little MC in it they probably had to scrap all preproduction and started from scratch. They might have lost a year there, I think holiday 2019 is Halo 6.

I never heard of that actually being a plan, only discussions of fans after playing Halo 5.

Is it so hard for Greensburg or Spencer to officially announce their plans at E3?

All these leaks have many worry and I already see other publications picking up the scoop. Instead of alarming the fans, shouldn't they just flat out announce their plans? How is this good publicity?

IIRC, they announced last year's E3--or some manner of it--sometime in February 2017.

So....soon?

He's saying it is not an accurate representation of their presence for the E3 event, nobody said it was fake except for you.
Yes, because that's what they're saying/is going on here...

Christ.
I admit I used the wrong word. He said maps aren't "accurate". How can an official map not be accurate? If they're gonna have a presence elsewhere, detached from the Los Angeles Convention Center it's totally fine, I'm glad if they're actually having more space. Just don't spread misinformation by saying that the official E3 maps aren't accurate, say that it's not going to be the sole venue for Microsoft instead.

They shouldn't comment on every piece of speculation that gets out there. I'm sure they have a roadmap on how to proceed with E3 plan announcements, and they will stick to that.

It doesn't necessarily mean the plan is inaccurate, just that they have bigger plans. The show floor booth may not tell the whole story.
And some people think "being biased and represent the company in the best possible light = anything the tell is a lie", because they can't or don't want to read between the lines.
And that is just plain stupid.

You should've noticed my wording was a exaggeration respond to an exaggeration stance to prove my point.
So don't worry about me being naive, i perfectly know what to do when a person tells anything. Get the context.
But yeah that's very rare today, so i get when people are shocked some others doing that.

Time will tell won't it.

I'm willing to bet the E3 plan is 100% accurate. But it's poor optics, even though they will have an extra fan event, hence another unclear statement. And yes, in the grand scheme of things the E3 floor plan isn't a big deal, but Greenberg's job is PR.
