I wonder if Ninja Theory would ever consider doing an episodic project. Short but quality experiences seem to be their specialty lately, and dividing that amongst episodes seems like a good way to test that out.

Yes, you're crazy. Forza Horizon won't a launch title for next generation.
It would've had exactly the same development cycle like every Forza Horizon game released so far. Just saying.

They will give either FH or FM a break. One will be a launch title - I would bet on that. And I would be surprised if this launch title wouldn't be Forza Horizon. Easy system seller.

If however FM will release in 2020 for Scarlett launch, this means FH5 will be the first game in the Horizon series with a 3 year development timeline. Which may be a great idea, too, although Playground Games clearly seems to be doing fine with their usual two year dev time anyway.

Forza Horizon needs some break as well and ForzaTech is 'coughing' already in some parts of Forza Horizon 4. Better launch for that game will be one year after new Xbox debut than on day-one. Circuit based racing game like Forza Motorsport doesn't need so much work as open-world. It's not only about cycle of development now.

I'm really curious to see what Playground can do to step it up even again for Horizon 5...

I'm honestly struggling to even hypothetically come up with something.

I would love a FH5 thats like Tokyo Drift set in Japan.

You have like a street cred you need to earn and rank up with, with a bunch of people you develop relationships with that you can do missions (races) for and earn cars.

All culminating with an epic final downhill slope drift race.

I definitely think they need to do something different because FH5 was very much a tighter FH3 (which is a tighter 2).

They'll have much more power to work with. I'm sure they'll come up with something good.
More power didn't necessarily mean different or better, just prettier...

To be honest I thought the same after FH3. Then they released FH4.

I dunno.

Seasons, whilst crazy, is something which was conceivable (especially after they made Blizzard mountain).

The multiplayer changes also seemed like a logical next step.

I can think of one thing which I think would be truly crazy. Since FH2 they've been putting a heavier and heavier emphasis on user created content. The route creator in FH4, whilst awesome, has some limits. Mainly the fact that you have to use the roads found in the world.

What if they make a "Forge" equivalent for Forza? Allow the players to make their own custom tracks and roads and environments etc. That would be a really next step for the game imo. Make it really easy to discover new tracks made by other players and you'd effectively have an infinite amount of content.

I have no idea how feasible this would be though, particularly with making AI racers function. It would be very cool though.

Maybe they will go back to their beautiful Hong Kong pitch.

Chile and Argetina can be great.

Tokyo Night + Neon + Drift :o

Not when the CPU is going to be vastly improved over what current-gen consoles have. Enough to have a significant presence in gameplay mechanics.

Huge traffics, better dynamic weather, real time seasons transitions :o

What if FH5 brought all the FH1-4 together in a single world map?

I don't like :(

We've been asking for Japan since before FH3, just give it to us already.

- Would make perfect sense for seasons.
- Opportunity to introduce drifting races.
- Neon nights, who doesn't like them?

Not 5 for sure. But somewhere in far future? Who knows. Maybe as a last game in the series for next-gen.

I'm after two seasons of Narcos and I'd like to see Colombia as well there! :D

Next-gen will be more powerful, so it should be capable to handle much bigger map with cut-offs from these countries. We already saw a few kind of nature in one map (Forza Horizon 3) - jungle, desert, beaches, cities, etc., so we can have one kind which could very developed with lot of details.

They're not fanmade. They were done by Concept Artist Christian Bravery as an exploration or pitch for Forza (it even has the Forza logo on the Balloon). What Forza game was it? We don't know, but it definitely looks like some an early location exploration for a FH game.

If yes, they had to be done before Forza Motorsport 5, when Forza franchise used to have that old verision of logo
g76CFYy.png

We don't know when, but they saw this Concept Art saw the light some time before FH4 was revealed. And not necessarily, the logo is just a detail on the balloon and, as an ex-concept artist, I would suggest he probably just picked the first logo he found on Google and copy pasted it as a small artistic detail.
It could have been for any Forza game though, but we know they explored the location, so we might see something similar in the future.

For me it's still some fanmade pics from some guy who loves Japan style of racing.

I haven't read through every page/post and not sure where we're at with speculation of the "rhymes with balloon" studio, but I watched a documentary today about the Halo fan project Installation 01 (Gameumentary Youtube) and the studio that's making the game is called "Soon Studios".

There seems to be a bit of a moment for Halo fan games at the moment. Installation 01 and this ArmA 3 mod Project Trebuchet. People seem to want good Halo still. I really hope Infinite can deliver.

I thought that balloon thing was somebody just poking fun.

Call me crazy, but I think FH5 will be a launch title for Scarlett and FM8 will be the year after, 2021. They need to rebuild the framework for FM while FH is really stable and has a great foundation.

I think Forza 8 will launch with the next Xbox in November 2020. I'm hoping Forza Horizon takes a breather and launches in early 2022.

Anyone think we will get Game Pass being officially announced for PC at CES and tied with their new streaming service?

PG are really efficient, and I don't think Fable will take as long as people think.

I'm expecting Fable to follow the same trajectory as Horizon.

For example, I think the first game won't be fully open world, more say contained in one big location, the heros guild

The first game focus more on an introduction, the base gameplay features.

And then with each instalment more is added.

Went off topic there.

Regards to Forza.

I think MS introduce a new line in the series, say Forza Rally or Kart

I really like Forza Horizon 4s open world design and gameplay, full disclosure it's the first Forza game I've ever played and I only played it because of the chance Playground might be making Fable.

That being said, I actively do not want them to just make Forza with swords. I expect a super highly polished RPG with a lot of attention to detail, but I want to see them stretch and make something bigger and more ambitious then they've ever made. Especially if it's Fable, attempting something bigger than you could ever possibly achieve is a big part of the Fable spirit (except this time dont tell everyone you're definitely gonna do all the things you haven't tried yet)

Forza Horizon 5: México
A man can dream :)
EDIT:
Holy shit... México is the third biggest market for Xbox, just behind the US, UK and maybe Australia... this actually makes sense.
