Tencent does NOT own Epic Games. Stop with this BS. "Tencent is not a parent company of Epic". "Tencent is an independent company that's a minority investor in Epic, alongside many others". - Tim
I thought I heard jez on Xbox Two say that he heard a guy form MS who has experience with rapid expansion was recently moved to compulsion. I can't remember the guys name tho. Might also be remembering it wrong too.Glad they're improving things. They mention they're a small studio. I wonder if they'll be growing soon or maintaining that small studio size.
Microsoft did acquire Crystal Dynamics. They renamed it The Initiative. What would make sense for both sides would be to acquire Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal from Square.
Make them a good offer and grab a talented studio doing 1st party Tomb Raider or like games for Microsoft.
No, The Initiative is a brand new studio, Crystal is working on an avengers game for square.Microsoft did acquire Crystal Dynamics. They renamed it The Initiative.

CD is off making an Avengers game and they're a Square studio. They got Darrell Gallagher who was the head of CD at one point.
This honestly should have happened day one of Xbox, breaking into the Asian/European markets would have been a hell of a lot easier in my opinion.Buy Sega and rebrand the new Xbox as Sega Xbox (only on Asia) then they will sell like crazy, Japan would be at their feet
Considering EA has 10,000 employees and the company would cost many, many times what Mojang did, that's not a very apt comparison. For accounting purposes, all MS would need to do is have EA make more than they would have made in interest on money they have just sitting there. That's how Minecraft was "profitable" for them right out the gate
Yes.
To be Fair, Angry Joe even admits that he gives the score and then annual nomination based on Day 1 release.
He never saw the updates for SOT or SOD2.
And WHF could have been so much better. It is certainly a disappointment.
However, MS shouldn't be content being in anyone's disappointment list.
boom, there it is .gif
And what would they get out of it? EA's most valuable asset is the FIFA license and that wouldn't just transfer to MS. The FIFA is greedy tho - they would make a MS-only FIFA veeery expensive for MS and hey, I kind of really believe that FIFA wouldn't be that lucrative without mtx. If the FUT fad goes away eventually and serious competition returns- FIFA is in trouble.Considering EA has 10,000 employees and the company would cost many, many times what Mojang did, that's not a very apt comparison.
Regardless of the movies, War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron were 2 really good games in general. I remember playing the shit out of War for Cybertron's MP. A next-gen AAA Transformers game by High Moon? Sign me up.Bumblebee was quite a good movie, so i wouldn't mind a legit transformer game now.
They aren't going to acquire studios that are already owned by another publisher. It's going to be indie devs and top tier talent that they can build a studio around.
There's plenty for them to go after, plenty.

This has been discussed. Possible. What about Glen Schofield and Jade Raymond as heads of new MS studies?
I found some article about that. But it was many, many years ago. Now, it's hard to find anything about that. So, what was this canceled game IO was working on for Microsoft? And when?
I don't remember anything about it.

I would argue shofield with a studio in the bay area is a lot more likely, but even if it isn't him, I think it's inevitable MS will have a bay area studio soon, about jade raymond it could be she's joining compulsion games, we simply don't know.

Obsidian was working on cancelled game for Microsoft. Obsidian is now part of Microsoft Studios.
IO Interactive was working on cancelled game for Microsoft. IOI is now considered to be part of Microsoft Studios.
It's a joke. Because The Initiative has hired so many CD devs. Guess it went over everyone's head.
I doubt that Jade is joining Compulsion...they bought Compulsion on their work and leadership...putting another leader in there doesn't seem like a move they would do.I would argue shofield with a studio in the bay area is a lot more likely, but even if it isn't him, I think it's inevitable MS will have a bay area studio soon, about jade raymond it could be she's joining compulsion games, we simply don't know.
On second thought, you're right, that makes sense so if she's joining MS it must really be a new studio.I doubt that Jade is joining Compulsion...they bought Compulsion on their work and leadership...putting another leader in there doesn't seem like a move they would do.

Spiritual successor to Dead Space? Or hell even offer to buy the IP from EA since they're not going to do anything with it.I watched the video about him talking about Dead Space and at the end he says he'd like to make a game like that again sometime. Hey dude, I'm all for it! Bring it. Dead Space 1 was superb and 2 was great.
Just think if they were to return to Microsoft after the Activision deal ends. Will probably never happen, but who knows!

We can only dream about it because I really doubt this will happen, even if he was to join MS. Are there any signs pointing to him possibly joining MS or nothing like that?
