"No kids currently in household" presumably includes plenty of men and is at -31%, which is almost the same as mothers with children under 18.
Why did they specify children under 18? Why not also include two bars for mothers and fathers in general?
In polling I believe there is often a generic question at the beginning along the lines of "do you have any children living in your house"...
That would explain it.
Still, you'd think fathers of children under 18 might have *some* empathy...
I've known men that become more conservative after having kids. I think they become convinced that being a father means fucking everyone else over, which will aid you in providing for your family.
That and some men are locked in a poor marriage (often of their own making) and the stress of having kids makes them dicks.
A threat to vulnerable children created by overzealous enforcement from a poorly run armed government agency whose actions are unmonitored and unrestrained by independent oversight would generate strong disapproval.
Good thing we're letting them run pretty much everything.... can you imagine how bad things would be with a woman President lol she'd probably send out tweets in all caps about starting wars.
