Wait what? I remember her being black. And then in MK9 she was white? Or am I mixing characters up?

She lightened her skin up in MK9, but it was still darker than Mileena's.
Game gonna have time travel. In the old timeline she can be alive while in the current she is dead and a revenant.
Thats why there gonna be past and present outfits for supposedly most characters.
I actually don't like her design at all. Looks nothing like Jade to me.

Nah shes never had a consistent skin tone. You should have seen her in the MK mobile game, for example. She was pretty light skinned.
I hope they have other skins that restore her beautiful black skin. Not liking the whole revenant pallet.
Kabal has the same skin, so it probably represents them being part of the Netherrealm faction.
Seeing her run through that projectile is bringing back serious childhood trauma.
As a fan of Jade since Mortal Kombat 3, I was ready to hate this video with all my power in a Jiren-level.

I hope they stick with this look now that they're scanning real faces. She's been white, white but tanned, Latina, black and Asian (not just in the terrible Annihilation movie, but also as recent as the MKX mobile game).
Story is based around time travel. Characters even meet themselves older / younger. It's not clear exactly how many characters and which. IIRC, some have more than two versions in the timeline. With that in mind, and from what they've shown, there are at least two versions of Jade

They really need to swap the colours around on Jade's two human skins. There's way too much brown over green imo. As it stands I prefer her revenant design more but I really really hope we can get a human version of that design. Doubt it though. Glad Jade is back btw, always liked her.
Her armor look like something out of Injustice not really feeling it im getting Pocahontas/Wonder Woman vibes looking at her..

I don't know but customisation videos have shown them mixing parts of costumes.
If her human skin is separate from the outfit then it'll be all good.
I actually prefer this to the default the trailer showed. Love Jade.
Kind of interesting how decay seems to be a big theme at least in the Outworld levels, Shang Tsung's Palace with the dead monks and Goro's lair with his rotting corpse. Be interesting to see other levels.Goro is fucking DEAD

She looks like Raziel... hopefully she'll have some alternative skins showing her as a human. Not a fan of the female designs so far with the exception of Sonya.

This costume looks really bland to me.....needs to be more green. That brown color looks weird. I hope there are a ton of different costume options for each character.
