all the good players are signing extensions, soon there will be no one left for future free agency. should speed up the strike talks.

Feels like teams and owners got what they wanted, which was to depress the free agent market enough so that players and agents no longer viewed getting to the open market as a financial advantage.

It's a market correction that represents a compromise that players and their agents didn't adjust to until now because they always treated the open market as the prize. It's really good for the game to have players stay with their teams and not to leave for money.
